Patrick McKenney’s letter to the editor titled, “Protesters don’t belong near school” expressed concerns about us twisting the facts when we “edit it to fit their message”, so lets correct a few inaccuracies with his account shall we? I’m not aware of any protesters, nor did I see any signs saying only “school sucks”, and there was only one “bullhorns” as you recount.
We were engaged in outreach to share our ideas. The signs say “Education Rocks, School Sucks Project.com”, “School Sucks Podcast”, and “School Sucks Project .com”. There you will find recorded audio discussions about public education, hosted by a former middle school teacher.
Patrick, you claim the “original issue” is the people performing outreach. Does that include the religious outreach that put a bible in my hand when I was leaving middle school? Should they be banned from your secure perimeter zone as well? The original issue is theft.

Oh, but Marijuana users don’t go to jail, right? Especially the sick ones.
This is the same exact thing that the law enforcement community wants to do to sick and disabled people here in New Hampshire. You know, part of “Protecting and Serving.”
All the hard work done to lobby the legislature to have common sense Marijuana policy would have easily passed if it were not for all the “Protecting and Serving” the police chiefs and Attorney General spew to the legislature.
Can’t we just leave people who are sick and disabled the hell alone?

On Wednesday, police arrested Jose Reyes and Leonel Pereira. During a search at Manchester locations, investigators said they arrested the men and found an undisclosed amount of cocaine and more than $20,000 in cash. Reyes is charged with possession of a narcotic. Pereira is charged with possession with intent to sell.
Do any of you in law enforcement notice that these stories and arrests have been happening non-stop for dozens of years? Billions of tax dollars wasted, yet the problem continues…. day in, day out. Do you really think you are doing ANYTHING to solve the problem? If you do, you are rather uninformed and uneducated.
I know the time and effort that goes into one of these investigations to arrest non-violent people. It is a total waste of money and your taxpayer funded time would be just as well spent golfing. You’d be accomplishing about as much in the battle against drugs on the back nine of your favorite golf course as you do making these arrests. The only difference is that you wouldn’t be reinforcing the violent black market…. and you could improve your golf game at the same time! Win win if you ask me.
One day, you will look at the evidence objectively and not from the perspective of your paycheck. Your jaw will drop and you will realize that what you’ve done is a total waste and terribly destructive.
