ShireTV – Episode 18 – Dec 10th 2012

The Bearcat is unleashed upon the peaceful streets of Keene.  This week’s episode: a compilation of video from the unveiling.

In an attempt to quell concern over Keene, NH’s newest acquisition: the Bearcat, city officials hold an “emergency vehicle day” showing.  Despite the miserable weather, the open house ended up attracting a good sized crowd including local activists concerned over the growing trend to militarize the police force.   Here’s some of the footage from the Dec 8th unveiling.

ShireTV needs your help

As many of you are already aware, ShireTV is a voluntary staffed news and analysis program that airs in Cheshire county NH.  We spend one half hour every Monday night on air covering stories we feel will have the most impact in spreading the message of liberty in our community.  But, as in most things of a voluntary nature, we are short staffed and that is where we need your help.  We need more pundits and anchors to add to our ranks who can add sensible commentary to the stories at hand .  We need technicians and back-up techs to setup and operate the studio.  We need more newsmen on the streets to help gather interviews and track down stories of interest.  Every little bit of assistance will help alleviate the burden from our shoulders and allow more time to build the show and increase viewership.

Interested in helping out?  Or maybe there’s  a story you would like us to cover?  Do you know a local person of interest who would like to come on as a guest?  Send me an email at conansalada@gmail.com or this Monday stop by CheshireTv at 76 Winter St. around 6pm (show starts at 7pm) and watch us in action to get a feel for what all is involved.  Or stop by the Pour House for the ShireTV after party immediately following airing (around 7:45pm) and share a drink with the crew.

Shire Choir Meets the BEARCAT

On Saturday December 8 at 9am, the Keene Police Department held an “Emergency Vehicle Open House” where they showed off their toys. Not only did the KPD display the Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Truck, they also displayed a fire truck, snow plows, a police cruiser and other vehicles from the Fire Department and Department of Public Works.

It wasn’t all business, enter the Shire Choir to lighten the mood and brighten a dreary day:
