Free Keene Activists Campaign To Impeach Corrupt Judge

This past Friday, Bradley Jardis, Ian Freeman, and I held a rally outside the Keene district court to support the impeachment of corrupt judge Edward Burke for lying to have Ademo Freeman wrongfully imprisoned last June.  Much thanks to all who came out in spite of the early hour and cold weather!

Badges don’t grant extra rights, and neither do robes and gavels.  What Edward Burke did was unacceptable, and we here at Free Keene will continue to work to hold him accountable for his actions.

Union Leader to Sue ICE Secret Police

From FreeConcord.org:

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement are apparently now operating under a policy of not disclosing information about those that they arrest. Making their arrests and ultimate deportations essentially disappearances, ICE operations have progressively degraded the civil rights of those deemed to be undocumented immigrants. When even the nativist NH newspaper, the Union Leader, criticizes the practices of the federal paramilitary organization, it is worth taking notice.

An unsigned editorial published today wanted to clarify that it was not advocating for the rights of those arrested to not be disappeared. In obedient praise of federal immigration policy, the newspaper so subjectively reported, “We are all for getting illegal bad guys off the street.” Language focused against a targeted demographic couldn’t get more presumptuously loaded than “illegal bad guy”. But while the UL is happy to report the word of the federal government that the immigrants arrested were all dangerous criminals, they will not idly accept news of NH arrests without the most basic unit of information attached: the name of the arrested party. Jay DenonvilleWelcome to our newest blogger, Jay Denonville. Jay has taken the reins of a very important activist project, Mail-to-Jail. Here’s his bio from the bloggers page:

Jay finally moved to The Shire from the Tampa Bay Area in Florida in November 2011. He has been involved in the Free State Project movement since 2003, and through the years has slowly progressed from being a minarchist to being a full blown anarchist/voluntaryist. He spends his days making a living with online merchandise sales, causing trouble with his opinions, and running the Mail-to-Jail.com website.

Derrick J.’s Bail Reduced to $500 – Activists Raise Funds Overnight

Apparently on his own volition (after reading the arrest reports from KPD), Ed Burke, judge of Keene district court has reduced Derrick J’s bail to $500 and house arrest. Activists put up a fundraiser on WePay last night, and this morning it had raised well over the total amount!

We’ll be going to get him this afternoon.
