40+ people, a good portion Keeniacs, gathered in Manchester’s Victory Park today to hold a 4:20 cannabis celebration mid-winter in honor of Big Mike. He was arrested for brushing up against an MPD undercover officer. Big Mike has been imprisoned until the trial in April because he’s using his so-called right to remain silent and refusing to give up his name. Our blogger Sam was imprisoned for 58 days for the same thing last year. Disobey, and you stay in their cage.
Here’s BikerBill‘s excellent coverage of the events in the park. Hopefully someone else got footage of the entire MPD being called out later on at the jail…
Righteous video. I'm so proud of you, Rich Paul. "…Because there's no damn government to fear!"
I just came from the UPS Store, where I found out that mail to 46733–Big Mike is being bounced back to the sender. The telephone person said there was no problem at their end, but we all know about our tireless public servants' relationship with the truth. It could be some cattywampus Post Office anomaly, but it might not hurt for someone in the area to double-check that Big Mike is getting his mail.
All Mail-to-Jail letters to BigMike are being rejected. Marlene at the Valley Street jail claims they have a policy at least 10 years old to reject mail from a third party, and she says Mail-to-Jail is a third party. Ironic that if you want to send a prisoner a book it must be from a third party. I'm working on ways to get mail to BigMike. Meanwhile, anyone who wants to call the jail and let them know that the jail is interfering with federal laws regarding mail tampering, or that the jail's own rules are contradictory, or that you'll… Read more »
Also, they claim to no longer have a John Doe #46733 on their records and are rejecting even direct personal mail to him. Instead, address your letters to Michael Tiner PID#46733.
Maybe your letters need to be combined to publish a book series called mail-to-jail.
There can be different books in the series based on the prisoner and the week or day of the week.
People can write short chapters that you compile together.
We can have the 3rd party publisher send the "books."
You just need to claim to be a publisher.
You might be able to sell the "books" in the future for profit!
There has to be a loophole, politicos aren't the brightest bunch.
Wow. thinkliberty really is. Thinking about Liberty, I mean. Here's some serious respect for some good ideas. Keep 'em coming, thinkliberty!!!…
Also, (hope it still goes on!…), there's the World Prison Poetry Contest. Seriously. They were out of CT., I think…I'd be interested to see some good literature come out of prison onto the market…
I hope you can follow this link about pot legalization in my neighborhood here in SoCal. Pretty interesting how this retired judge and former prosecutor confesses that the drug war is a waste of time and money. And that a joint is less harmful that a glass of wine!!! I don’t smoke pot but I sure don’t want people who call themselves ‘government’ putting my friends, family and sick people in jail who choose to smoke. We exercise our right to do with our body what we want; and harm no one. Take care all.
