A “fellow libertarian” used force against me

A few days ago, some friends and I were clearing brush on my property in Grafton, preparing to building a house, and we were burning some small stuff to make a fire to cook hot dogs on. Suddenly, thugs appeared and threatened us with violence if we didn’t put our fire out. We politely refused to comply with their threats, and more thugs came, and eventually the fire chief of Grafton, John Babiarz, who is a self-proclaimed libertarian (he’s apparently the libertarian party’s current gubernatorial candidate for NH), brought a fire truck and put out my camp fire. This may sound ridiculous, but it looks even more ridiculous. Check out the video.
420 Moves to Ashuelot Park
Filed under: Announcement, Civil Disobedience, Issues, National, Personal Freedom

Keene’s Central Square was empty yesterday as the daily 420 celebrations have been moved to the beautiful Ashuelot park at West and Island St!
Celebration spokesman Rich Paul wouldn’t cite reasons for the venue change and encouraged readers to decide for themselves. Celebrants cleaning up some garbage in the park noticed the city’s cans were nearly overflowing! This has been a problem at other city parks in the past and is more proof that the violent monopoly can’t even handle the garbage. It would seem likely that the city’s janitors don’t work weekends and holidays, which are the times they are needed most!
As Rich says, “420, Ashuelot park, everyday”.
Evening News Update
- A Franklin, NH mom and her ten year old son got a taste of what a terrorist attack feels like when the police mistakenly busted into their house and pointed guns at them. “”They just walked away like it was OK for them to make a mistake, and when I asked them how do I explain to my 10-year-old why there was a gun in his face — what do I tell him — all they could say was, ‘Oh well. It’s not our fault. This is the address we were given.‘”" Well, mam, I’m not so sure how to put it, but……….. Working for the government means you never need be sorry… or apologize. If protection services were privatized (and made efficient), you’d bet your ass that this stuff wouldn’t fly. If a private policing force were to do this: they’d be fired.
- A prison warden was killed and dismembered down in Mexico City. The harder the government fights the “War on Drugs,” the more this brutality happens. The harder the government fights the “War on Drugs,” the more innocent people victimized by prohibition violence we will see. The real question is when are the government people going to realize this and stop the madness.
- The NH Attorney Genital is trying hard to get kids to not drink alcohol. Guess what? Kids don’t care what you say. They will drink it. Lets teach them to drink responsibly, not slap handcuffs on them when they do decided to do what all kids do.
- In Laconia, NH there is a good example of what the proper function of the police should be… to protect people. If the police only did things like this I’d wager there would never have been a Free State Project. Do you agree with me on that?
Morning News Update
- The suspicion-less checkpoint in Hudson, NH seems to be fairing well for the police state: “Captain William Avery said most of the DWI arrests also came with subsequent charges including open container violations and drug possessions.” Would we expect anything but?
- Interested in purchasing a pre-paid SIM card? Papers, please!
- New Hampshire is adding extra state trooper patrols. You know, to keep you safe.
- A Rochester burglary of a McDonald’s is under investigation. Anyone want to guess the motive for the crime before it is clarified by the law enforcement agency through the newspaper?

NH News Update for Liberty Activists

The New Hampshire Court System is closing again as they can’t afford their operations.- A leader of a robbery ring based out of the Derry area is headed to jail:
“Springer told Judge Tina Nadeau that the plan — to bail Ricker’s then-boyfriend out of jail — turned out to be short lived. Instead, the group pawned stolen items and spent their proceeds on alcohol and drugs, Springer said.“ - A man in Dover is off to prison for having a naughty plant in his apartment.
- The drug war produced violence continues in Rochester as a masked man who was believed to be holding weapon busted into a pharmacy and demanded Oxycontin.
- A Gonic man is facing some serious time for treating his body as if it belonged to him by injecting some dangerous chemicals into it. Unfortunately he did this in front of some small children. If this sick man had an alternative place to go to get the drug fix that he needs, say one where the goal was to get him to use less drugs, I don’t think that he would have to commit crime to afford his habit and/or inject in front of children.
- The Rochester Police Commission wants a freedom crackdown on glass pipes being sold in their community.
“Commissioner Al Bemis said the DARE program explains the dangers of drug use, but when display cases are prominently positioned at the front of stores, it sends mixed messages.”
Actually, Al, the DARE program is a complete waste of time and money (so says the Government Accountability Office) and if anything is responsible for the so called “gateway” effect, it is.
Also— it encourages children to rat on their parents to the police. I’m quite sure Stalin and Hitler used a similar tactic.
NH Police Warning Cocaine Users
The police in New Hampshire are warning that cocaine is being cut with a dangerous animal drug.
“A New Hampshire police department is warning that a drug used to treat animals is being added to cocaine and sending users of the illegal drug to the hospital.”
During liquor prohibition this happened quite frequently. Because alcohol is now a legal drug it is largely sold by professional companies who strive to make their products the absolute safest. If Corona all the sudden had a reputation that it was killing people, you’d better believe that they’d be going out of business in short order.
Let’s face reality. People in this world are going to choose to use cocaine. I disagree with using cocaine and would attempt to talk someone out of making such a choice, but if they insist, I want them to be able to receive it from a professional source, one who is motivated to create a product that is not likely to cause their customer death. So long as the drug war continues the chances of that are slim to none.
Like telling a kid sex is wrong and not to do it, telling people drugs are bad and not to use them will continue to be ineffective.
Summer = Suspicionless Checkpoints in New Hampshire
And here they come.
A government suspicion-less checkpoints is coming to Hudson, New Hampshire this weekend!
*clicks heels*
“It will run from 9 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday, and again at 9 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.”
Anyone interested in protesting, filming, repeatedly passing through, or some other thing to peacefully oppose such police-statish methods?
( don’t forget to have this playing in your mind while thinking about law enforcement behaving this way. )
Busybody Advocates Violence Against Topless Women
Topless Tuesdays continues in Keene, led by a heroic young lady Keeniac who is consistently out week after week, proudly displaying her natural form alongside well over a dozen topless men. Now a local busybody has written a letter to the Sentinel demanding violence be enacted against women who choose to act free:
I recently read a story reported by The Keene Sentinel of the 18-year-old female, a self-proclaimed “Free Stater,” who paraded topless around downtown Keene this past August.
I don’t have any kids but I was outraged (as were the parents of children who reported seeing this spectacle) that the charges of lewd behavior and indecent exposure against the woman who was arrested were dropped. Read more
