A “fellow libertarian” used force against me

A few days ago, some friends and I were clearing brush on my property in Grafton, preparing to building a house, and we were burning some small stuff to make a fire to cook hot dogs on. Suddenly, thugs appeared and threatened us with violence if we didn’t put our fire out. We politely refused to comply with their threats, and more thugs came, and eventually the fire chief of Grafton, John Babiarz, who is a self-proclaimed libertarian (he’s apparently the libertarian party’s current gubernatorial candidate for NH), brought a fire truck and put out my camp fire. This may sound ridiculous, but it looks even more ridiculous. Check out the video.

420 Moves to Ashuelot Park

image

Keene’s Central Square was empty yesterday as the daily 420 celebrations have been moved to the beautiful Ashuelot park at West and Island St!

Celebration spokesman Rich Paul wouldn’t cite reasons for the venue change and encouraged readers to decide for themselves. Celebrants cleaning up some garbage in the park noticed the city’s cans were nearly overflowing! This has been a problem at other city parks in the past and is more proof that the violent monopoly can’t even handle the garbage. It would seem likely that the city’s janitors don’t work weekends and holidays, which are the times they are needed most!

As Rich says, “420, Ashuelot park, everyday”.

Evening News Update

  • A Franklin, NH mom and her ten year old son got a taste of what a terrorist attack feels like when the police mistakenly busted into their house and pointed guns at them.  “”They just walked away like it was OK for them to make a mistake, and when I asked them how do I explain to my 10-year-old why there was a gun in his face — what do I tell him — all they could say was, ‘Oh well. It’s not our fault. This is the address we were given.‘””  Well, mam, I’m not so sure how to put it, but………..  Working for the government means you never need be sorry…  or apologize.  If protection services were privatized (and made efficient), you’d bet your ass that this stuff wouldn’t fly.  If a private policing force were to do this: they’d be fired.
  • A prison warden was killed and dismembered down in Mexico City.  The harder the government fights the “War on Drugs,” the more this brutality happens.  The harder the government fights the “War on Drugs,” the more innocent people victimized by prohibition violence we will see.   The real question is when are the government people going to realize this and stop the madness.
  • The NH Attorney Genital is trying hard to get kids to not drink alcohol.  Guess what?  Kids don’t care what you say.  They will drink it.  Lets teach them to drink responsibly, not slap handcuffs on them when they do decided to do what all kids do.
  • In Laconia, NH there is a good example of what the proper function of the police should be… to protect people.  If the police only did things like this I’d wager there would never have been a Free State Project.  Do you agree with me on that?

Morning News Update

  • The suspicion-less checkpoint in Hudson, NH seems to be fairing well for the police state: “Captain William Avery said most of the DWI arrests also came with subsequent charges including open container violations and drug possessions.”  Would we expect anything but?
  • Interested in purchasing a pre-paid SIM card?  Papers, please!
  • New Hampshire is adding extra state trooper patrols.  You know, to keep you safe.
  • A Rochester burglary of a McDonald’s is under investigation.  Anyone want to guess the motive for the crime before it is clarified by the law enforcement agency through the newspaper?
