So you answered my question in your very own words.

"This is not just an RV, it is our home, it is what we live in"

So when you start yelling at the police officers that they "are your servants" and "they work for you", can you please explain if you are transients and do not pay taxes, how can you honestly say they work for you?

The Keene PD needs to grow a set like Greenfield, MA and maybe that piece of crap yellow RV will move onto another little town.

    Paul,

You are such a kind and understanding person. These people just don't understand that the violence perpetrated by the police against them is solely for their own benefit. We must lock people in cages who we disagree with. That is society's proper role.

And Paul, I will soon be in New Hampshire to back you up. We must increase the violence and control of the state in order to form a proper utopia. All this talk of freedom, liberty and personal responsibility must stop. Statism or bust! Hail Paul!

Too bad the current District Attorney isn't seeking reelection. That'd be another good pressure point.

In looking over the MA wiretapping statute, I found this definition to be interesting: "4. The term “interception” means to secretly hear, secretly record, or aid another to secretly hear or secretly record the contents of any wire or oral communication through the use of any intercepting device by any person other than a person given prior authority by all parties to such communication…" http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/mgl/272-99.htm

Unless it has changed since 2001, secretly recording (video or audio) the police in MA is illegal:

Interesting read on wiretap in MA and the 1st Circuit, if one can wade the waters:

..and the soon to be last word on the recording of Mass. police without their permission or knowledge, pending case Glik v. Cuniffe will succeed (my prediction).
    http://www.massrightsblog.org/2010/06/major-news-…

“Just because it’s upsetting to the police officers and they’re unhappy about being recorded, doesn’t allow them to make an arrest,’’ said Howard Friedman, an attorney working with the ACLU to represent Glik. “If a person is standing, as Mr. Glik was, many feet away and simply recording, that’s not a crime, even if the officers don’t like being recorded."

Your claim is stronger. You should have a chat with Howard Friedman.

Yeah, thanks bil, that is indeed a different Paul.

Maybe I'll choose another moniker. I'll be PaulB from now on.

This will be a big win for Pete and Adam. The “wiretapping” is a non-starter. If I understand correctly, you were charged with some sort of illegal firearm possession?
If this is true, they may attempt to use the gun charge as leverage to have the other “illegalities” go quietly away, by your acquiescence.

On the assumption that all charges are dropped, and you don’t sign your rights away, a good Federal Section 1983 civil rights complaint against the officers could be made. Might take about 2 years and depending on actual damages, might be worth $100K.

For starters, the basis of a 1983 claim is 4th amendment violation, i.e. arrest without probable cause, 1st amendment, i.e. recording is a form of speech.

    What exactly are the charges?

This episode, obviously is not a proud moment for Greenfield, MA. The upper management of the police dept. can’t be happy about this.

So far you have done a excellent job of representing yourself, but a lawyer would be most beneficial if you desire to win. With felony charges, great care must be taken to preserve appeal rights, if by chance “the fix is in”.

It would seem that a defense lawyer would be proud to take up your cause.

    Great info big!
