Adam Mueller conversed with some feds outside a courthouse during Liberty on Tour‘s stay in Philadelphia. At least these cops are honest about who they are protecting – it’s right there in their agency name, “Federal Protective Service”. Adam captured some real choice lines by one officer in particular:

Ian, the idiot asking the questions in that video makes about as much sense as you do. Round and round, asking the same stupid questions. As if the more you ask it it will somewhat legitimize it. Ok, bob, I've got a couple questions for you:

Do you think the federal government has a right to fund themselves by extorting money from people? Why or why not? In general, do you think it's appropriate for an organization to fund itself by extorting money from people, based on threats of jail or eviction from their homes? If so, when?

Do you think the state has a right to throw people in jail for posessing a cannabis plant, or a handgun, without their permission? Why or why not?

Do you think the state or city has a right to fine or arrest you for trading with your neighbor, or building an addition on your property, without getting their permission first? Why or why not?

Wow, why the hatred? An intellectual discussion would be interesting. Name calling & raw hate isn't – no matter what side you're on. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that "Bob" is a government bureaucrat?

Ian – you're educating a lot of people. I'm in North Carolina and there are thousands upon thousands around the country you are reaching. Keep up the good fight!

Ok, Paul, I've got a couple questions for you?

You ask bob about the rights of "the federal government," "the state," and "the city." Do you think that nonexistent lingustic abstractions can have rights? If "the state" has rights, who is harmed if those "rights" are infringed?

If you prefer, you can read "federal government" as, "members or employees of the federal government", etc.

I think my meaning is fairly understandable.

I just cannot imagine bob will respond without calling Ian a pussy, me a whip, you an asshole, and everyone else something similarly juvenile.

But……………… I could be proven wrong.

When you're lacking in the logic department……… hit or call names. This is how people like bob or name required roll.

First, the Liberty on Tour group really gets these guys to think and it shows because you notice their physical demeanor as the conversation goes on. They are fidgety and nervous. Their beliefs are being called into question and they have never had to defend them before because they surround themselves with the echo chamber. (Similar to what bob says about Ian) Once they start dealing with the questions, their level of discomfort rises as they find they cannot defend, morally, what they do for money.

Second, Ian as well as the Free Staters as a whole, are making huge strides outside of Keene. I know that down here in Philly, a lot of people are watching the progress, talking about the activism, and learning from the movement. There is a buzz that seems to be growing about Keene and it is exciting. I know that the idea catching on outside NH is a huge win that you guys may or may not see, but need to know about. Keep it up.
