VIDEO: The Drinking Game Goes Unmolested!

What was called “disorderly conduct” two weeks ago was ignored this week as the city council went about their “business” without interrupting their own meeting. Now they REALLY have no case against those they aggressed against, as they allowed the exact same behavior to continue. Not that they had a case before, anyway. WKBK’s Brad Ryder reports:

I think thats the most well attended city council meeting in the country.

  2. libertymatters on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 12:26 am

I think you are getting great results. I would love to see Free Staters elected to city council. Start repealing bad ordinances. Make life better for the future free staters yet to arrive.

Now they REALLY have no case against those they aggressed against, as they allowed the exact same behavior to continue.

Actually it doesn’t matter, since nothing that happened after the arrests can be used in court.

  4. Marty on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 1:57 am

    Excellent. Just Excellent.

    So was the ordinence changed???

  6. Paul on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 2:56 am

Credit where credit’s due: I applaud the city council, and the mayor especially, for allowing the protest. Free speech lives on.

  7. Marty on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 3:53 am

They’re having a special meeting. Didn’t catch exactly when.

  8. Paul on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 5:19 am

Hey, credit where it’s due: The city council and mayor should be commended for ignoring this, and letting people protest silently. A victory for free speech.

  9. Wes on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 6:09 am

I wonder if the city attorney or DA didn’t have a conversation with the council/mayor about the fact that the previous arrests were questionable at best (and likely indefensible). Even statist lawyers don’t like being forced to defend dubious charges. They haaaate having their ego bruised.

  10. Puke on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 6:16 am

That was the most useless couple hours of my life.
All those old farts did was circle jerk each other and a couple retiring bureaucrats. There was a horrible PP presentation about the “master plan” that said nothing about the actual master plan. The only question about that from the councilors was “Where is Wilson Pond?”!
And despite the presenter mentioning all kinds of “community involvement” we all found out when a member of the community tried to ask a question that community involvement isn’t allowed at these meetings.
The rest of the time it was one motion (or whatever they call it) after another being unanimously voted to be discussed later in a committee. It could have all been rubber stamped and saved a lot of time.

  11. Puke on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 6:18 am

Oh, at the very start everyone was forced to leave for “legal council”. When the doors were opened again the announcement was made that alcohol and alcohol containers weren’t allowed in the meeting. Although this wasn’t enforced.
Disruptive behavior was also not allowed. (ambiguous enough?)
I guess some folks drinking in unison wasn’t considered disruptive this time.

I truly believe that bit-by-bit you are wearing them down. It is incredibly frustrating for them that no matter how hard they run the spin machine (both against activists here on this site and in the Sentinel) they just can’t push tyranny without somebody peacefully kicking back against it. Their power that they’ve taken for granted as always being there to lord over others is starting to slip away, and they are scared out of their wits of losing control over human beings.

They can succeed against violent overthrow attempts and delight in the thought of being able to pull off such a deed. This peaceful activism, well they got nothing to counter it. They can’t even teach themselves anything to make it so even if they were so inclined. Their ill-presumed authority is being mocked. Nobody has tried that in their literal centuries of rule.

I think this is much more informative video:

    http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/video/video.php?v=423473357539

Does someone need a vocabulary lesson? No one “hit” Sam, and Sam’s reaction was incredibly overblown and unnecessarily aggressive. He’s such a phony.

Well-planned event. Great coverage. Nice apology from the mayor. Keep up the good work.

  17. Watchdog on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 9:52 am

Little known fact: On of the idiots playing in the drinking game last night was convicted of raping a 12 year old girl when he was 19. It’s called application screening you morons.

  18. Anton Lee on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 9:55 am

I didn’t have to fill out an application.

  19. James on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 10:00 am

So, Sam I hit you with my cup? I think not. I was not backing away, I was merely trying to put a small amount of distance between us, about 2 1/2 inches (the diameter of the cup), and my cup brushed your nose. YOU are the one who became violent. You are also the same person who cried how you had been assaulted by a 12 year old girl who took your school sucks sign down. YOU ARE A TOTAL FRAUD. Watch the video on youtube. I freely admit, I was there to antagonize you, and put your stupidity right back in your face. YOU are the one who chose to be violent. If your brainwashed minions watch with what little open mind they have left, they will see your true colors. You should be ashamed of yourself. I expect a full apology. And I want you to replace my property that you destroyed. Compete with the message “FREE KEENE FROM THE FREE STATERS”. I know it will never be the same as the original piece of art I created, but if you write it, I will accept your apology.

  20. Che on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 10:24 am

Are you inbreds in damage control, or is 10:00 AM to early for you fucking losers to answer for your actions?

James contact the police and tell them you have evidence to claim an assault charge.

  21. None on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 10:49 am

A better link to the video. I really do want to hear what kind of defense any one can make for Sam. I wasn’t there for this actual event, but the video is pretty darn clear. Sam is aggressive when he’s not getting what he wants.

Hey Free Keene. Go fuck yourselves.

  23. bob on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 11:39 am

Ian, Sam, you don’t frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called “Free Staters,” you and all your silly Free State K-nig-hts. I don’t wanna talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time-a!
    FETCHEZ LA VACHE!

  24. Paul on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 11:52 am

I don’t think the man in the video was behaving very nicely, but I don’t think Sam’s response was appropriate either. It’s important to be able to “turn the other cheek” as they say, and not let yourself be taken over by anger.

Watchdog, if that’s true, I’m sorry to hear it. If true, I think that individual should be spending the rest of their life working to make restitution to the victim of that horrible crime.

But, there’s no “application” or anything. I suggest that you support or oppose particular activists or activism — don’t suppose that everyone’s the same, because they’re not.

Nobody can prevent any individual from showing up at the meeting, or any other public event, if they want to.

I love the reaction from the peanut gallery, looks like we’ve struck a nerve!

  26. keenenative, jr. on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 12:01 pm

well, SAM DID grab and destroy the guys’ styrofoam cup…Gee, even Sam has a snapping point…Hey, I KNOW! Let’s all go around and PROVOKE EVERYBODY, just so WE ALL KNOW where EVERYBODY’s breaking point is…That’s a logical, rational thing to do, isn’t it???…No, Sam, I DID NOT see that you were “hit by the cup”…You WERE “in the guys’ face”/”invading(aggressing)into his space…I wouldn’t have done what the guy did w/his cup, but also,I wouldn’t have done what he did, if you had gotten in MY FACE w/that much VIOLENCE & AGGRESSION…

  27. Kicking back and laughing on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 12:02 pm

Sam’s behavior reminds me of Anarcho-Jesse back when he was a part of your little gang. When he got flustered with a person talking to him on Main St. after one of the first TEA Party Protests, he handed his signs off to one of his companions and attempted to initiate a physical confrontation. When a nearby person, unrelated, told him to cut it out or he would call the police he said, and I quote “SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH!” This was in front of Prime Roast in front of numerous bystanders. Not only was Jesse a huge fucking contradiction (moments before he had been going on about your usual tagline of the State being the violent one) but he is misogynistic as well. Gonna be hard to shake that one with all this nonsense about “Topless Tuesdays.”

And now watching Sam go after somebody and getting in their face? Isn’t that what you bitch babies claim the “Evil Statists” are doing? I’m sorry he was standing in front of your stupid little camera and ruining your propaganda.

  28. Name (required) on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 12:30 pm

    Dear Sam,

Thank you for the exibition of some of your many emotional problems. I was even more pleased the video had been forwarded by like 3 different FB friends who I didn’t even know were aware of you …TGIF I would think there would be a little more room in your heart for dissent, then again you are a thin skinned whimpering man child. Public property Sammy, works both ways. I was supprised you didnt tell him not to touch your “$50,000 camera” as opposed to just “camera” but you were pretty upset. It was clear, by the way he didn’t touch it when you chose to wrench his arms…Its strange for a bully like yourself to be so effeminate, usually that behavior merits a little more testosterone, also they usually dont dress like the George Micheal character from Arrested Development…

I guess the “Obscured Truth” is that for, all lf your sanctimonious bullshit about peace and evolution there is a violent, limp wristed temper tantrum just waiting to gloriously unleash itself in front of amused onlookers..Is that what drove Meg away Sam?..Your poisonus personality tends to fuck just about everything for you doesnt it ? How are you working? I would hire a fucking epileptic monkey with a blackberry for camera work before I hired your jerry curled greasy ass to fuck it up…

Word to the wise Sam….I wouldn’t be getting in too many peoples faces like that..Not everyone is “non Violent” I dont think you could fight your way out of a Social Sunday.

  29. Che on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 1:14 pm

I’m sorry to your minions Sam. They’ll have to drink the cool-aid when everything falls apart soon.

It’s a shame that the uneducated can be so easily molded with the promises of better lives and freedom.

  30. Luthor on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 2:53 pm

I’m no one’s “minion”. In fact, that’s the very reason I joined the FSP. I have no use for a leader, but they certainly like to force their will on me anyway. I’ll do whatever I can to stop them.

That said, they’re right, Sam. Sure, that James fellow was being a dick, but he certainly didn’t hit you. Definitely an overreaction. But at least your activism has a point, even if it does annoy some people. James, you’re just plain annoying.

Not everything that every Free Stater does is annoying. When the government kicked the homeless people out of their tent city behind Hannafords, a dangerous and illogical course of action, the Free Staters stepped up to help them, along with others.

I doubt you’ve ever directly been affected by a Free Keener (different than a Free Stater). you probably just read about them in the paper and got angry.

Che: glad to see you worship a child killer enough to adopt his name. Your pros are inspirational; full of wit and insight. Glad you got to know us as individuals before you judged what you perceive as a group mentality.

  31. Social Democrat on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 3:15 pm

Wow…. Sam you really stepped in it this time… You were intimidating an older and smaller man in broad daylight… A respected and local businessman from Main Street

Really, your aggressive nature was out… for all the world to see…

    Disappointing…. Weak….A wanting performance.

  32. CertainQuirk on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 3:50 pm

I wonder if some of the anti-FSP comments are posted by agent provocateurs from the Liberty Movement? I realize that is very unlikely, but it would help to explain the foul content of those posts. There isn’t a single meaningful comment against the FSP in this thread. Is that the true mentality of the anti-FSP? Or are these just fringe people?

  33. Social Democrat on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 4:24 pm

    Luthor,

Methinks it was Don Primrose and his allies that helped the homeless behind Hannaford[s, not you fools. If anything, the FSP’s involvement was counterproductive, just as it was with the 420 Smoke In in Central Square, after which the city of Keene recinded its support of marijuana decrim, dooming the bill before the NH House.

    Free Keeners = Community backlash.

    Can you say “counterproductive?”

    —-Gummit Steve

  34. Luthor on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 4:37 pm

Actually, many free staters volunteered and raised money for the shelter. I know that Don stepped up and did that. He bravely defied the government, as others have. I wasn’t trying to take credit from him, just couldn’t recall his name.

I don’t agree with everything Free Keene does. That doesn’t mean every Free Stater wants community backlash. In fact many are engaged in the community, and aid in various charities, myself included. But I guess you already knew that before you made that post, otherwise you wouldn’t have made such a broad statement.

I want to work with the community. Please don’t believe everything you read/hear.

I watched the video. I don’t know who that James Callaway is, with his ridiculous cup, but I can tell you he did commit a crime on video and he’s fortunate that Sam chose not to put him in jail, which he could have done.

  37. Ian Freeman on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 9:19 pm

James is allegedly the owner of Brewbakers, a local coffee establishment on Main St.

  38. Michael Hampton on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 9:23 pm

Just to be perfectly clear, I don’t think that Sam’s behavior was entirely appropriate either, but as he was clearly responding to aggression rather than initiating it, I don’t think he has nearly as much to answer for as this James character.

James is allegedly the owner of Brewbakers, a local coffee establishment on Main St.

Oh good, that’s not the coffee shop I go to in downtown Keene. I’ll make a mental note to not go there and to steer everyone I know away from there when they visit Keene.

  39. Michael Hampton on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 9:27 pm

James is allegedly the owner of Brewbakers, a local coffee establishment on Main St.

Here I go again. After doing some digging, I find that James Callaway is listed as the owner of Bob’s Bread, in addition to Brewbakers. Make that two places not to go.

  40. bil on Fri, 20th Aug 2010 10:02 pm

It is like when each of a couple vote for oposing candidates-they cancel each other out. Both are places I will frequent as much as possible. I already liked Brewbakers. MMMM-warm bread! —bil

Well, I saw James’s unadorned apology in another thread, so cancel the boycott. :)

    Hey Michael,

Putting people in jail does little to solve problems. Like you said I should have worked to handle the situation differently. (and next time I will) It’s a constant learning process.

I really hope we get the chance to sit down and talk. I think we have a lot to learn from each other.

  45. Dennis on Sat, 21st Aug 2010 8:19 am

The drinking GAME was taken as such, a game. Kids at play and let them play in the yard.

If you lot are so unhappy with Keene, and all it has to offer, bugger off.

I still have heard NOTHING on your cordial invitations to the city…

Ian, Sam? Feel free to post the invitations anywhere on the web.

CertainQuirk, this isn’t peace pot and microdot of the 60′s.
Apparently you were brainwashed early on, and probably should sit back and read, rather than comment.
