Darryl W. Perry vs City of Keene

On July 2 I filed a small claims suit against the City of Keene, Fred Parsells & Gary LaFreniere (case number 449-12-SC-278). There was a $72 filing fee, which I have included in the amount I’m seeking to recover.

The court has given the City until August 1 to respond to the suit. After that date, unless the City attempts to settle, the court will set a court date.
The court papers state the defendants can request a jury trial in cases over $1,500. I intend to request a jury trial citing the 7th amendment of the US Constitution.

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved.
