Politics is such a nasty game. Luckily, Andrew Carroll’s visit door-to-door this weekend was very positive, unlike some of the phone calls to WKBK or the nasty letters to the Sentinel:
Kudos to Sam Hawkes and The Sentinel for widening the conversation regarding the candidacy of Andrew Carroll, who is running as a Democrat from Keene for a seat in the N.H. House of Representatives.
Mr. Carroll, who is masquerading as a young Democrat, is actually a member of the Free State movement. Mr. Carroll explains his philosophy of government as “anarchy.”
Specifically he calls himself a “Nietzschean Anarchist.” While the antics of the Free Keene/Free State people can be entertaining in an offensive sort of way, they do not represent the responsible citizens of Keene.
With eight candidates running for seven seats in Concord, it is important that voters realize that by voting in the Democratic primary they can take a stand for responsible representation in Concord. By voting in the primary, citizens have a chance to speak out against the disruptive events of the past year or so in our community.
