Welcome to Our Newest Blogger, Law School Graduate Melanie Johnson!

Melanie Johnson

Welcome to Free Keene‘s newest blogger Melanie Johnson! Melanie graduated law school and is already getting involved in courtroom activism here in New Hampshire. She’s one of the newest movers to the Keene area. Here’s her bio from the Bloggers page:

Melanie is an anarchist who moved to Keene on November 5, 2015. She believes in the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP), free markets, and holding philosophically consistent positions. In addition to the excruciating task of attempting to reconcile either minarchy or anarchy with the NAP, she spent part of her six years as a minarchist pursuing a law degree in the world’s Prison Capital in a misguided attempt to make it a freer place. She has participated in jury outreach, police checkpoint blocking, appeared on Free Talk Live, and advised other activists on the legal issues relevant to activism.

  1. She believes in the NAP, yet she lives in the same household as that aggressive knuckle dragging slob, Rich Paul. Yah know the guy the used to bully people downtown, and carries weapons on him even though he is on probation. Good luck in court BTW Richard I hope they nail you to the wall! I can’t wait, it’s going to be great!

    Sir,  (maam?),

Your post relies on a circular fallacy of sorts.

It presumes that an entity which arises from coercion and abets the existence of “probation”  can ethically be seen as a defender of people and that the right to defend oneself can be administratively extinguished by people who use offensive force.

In other words, it was a nonsensical and inflammatory post.   Now please go give some G’s back to whoever you stole them from.

  3. I have a tough time believing she is a recent law school graduate.  Any graduate would stay away from criminal groups like freekeene. They haven’t taken their bar exams and the last thing they would want to do is associate with a radical group that could jeopardize her future career.   She can’t give legal advice because she does not have her state license to practice law.

  4. Jumping Jacks That’s all right, Jacks. There are others that find it just as difficult to believe that you hold an advanced degree in nursing with expertise in drug rehabilitation. How many drug rehabilitation centers have you claimed to own, Jacks? Was it nineteen or twenty? I forget.

  5. GGGMAN Michael dear, perhaps you should do some more research into the minutiae of the NAP. I don’t think it means what you think it means, lamb.

  6. Jumping Jacks Nobody said recent.

  7. That’s all right, Jacks, blah, blah, blah!

  8. I’ll keep the inflammatory posts coming.

  9. OK, do tell the “finer points” of the NAP?

  10. MelanieJohnson4 Jumping Jacks When someone brags about being a law school graduate, it’s code for “I failed the bar.”  In Melanie’s case, it might be code for “I failed character & fitness.”

  11. GGGMAN Michael dear, it’s very shiftless of you to be demanding others to do your own work for you. You have full use of all your fingers, now don’t you lamb? Why don’t you use them to discover these answers for yourself, hmm? Wouldn’t that be more worthwhile than the way you currently use them, dear?
