Segregated Voting @ 2020 NH State Primary + Voting With No ID

Here’s what it was like voting in Fear World as a mask-free individual in 2020 at the New Hampshire state primary on September 8th. Republican gubernatorial candidate “Nobody“, and state rep candidates Matt Roach and me headed down to Keene’s Ward 4 polling location together where we discovered that mask-free people were made to vote outdoors. This was fine as it was a nice day out, but it’s likely going to be very cold come November.

After the poll worker falsely claimed we needed to show ID to vote, we informed her that was not the case and were allowed to vote without ID, though all three of us had differing experiences in this area. This short video is an interesting look at the various voting options available to those who aren’t willing to go-along-to-get-along:

  1. Awesome video!

  2. This is going to be an interesting election. If Biden wins he said he will make it mandatory everyone will have to wear a mask.

Since this will come from a federal level, It will be interesting to see what the freekeeners will do.

  3. What will freekeeners do? You’ve been here for a while but haven’t figured that out by now? Here let me help.

Freekeeners still won’t wear masks and they’ll still push for secession. Maybe some more will join them as greater and greater numbers get tired of their government-mandated muzzles (that’s face masks, Jacks).

Then if anyone tries writing them a citation, they’ll try fighting it in court and, win or lose, they’ll make it unprofitable for the state and gain publicity in the process.

    Ring a bell now Jacks?

  4. Great vid. Knowledgeable Ian and Nobody the Philosopher have always complimented each other well 🙂

Still think voting is worth it, Ian?

  5. It will be interesting to see what Trump will do after he and his wife recover from the coronavirus. He could really go off the deep end and make it mandatory that everyone has to wear masks or face very stiff penalties.

I believe Trump now believes in the Covid-19 virus

  6. The president has been fine with leaving covid policy to the states as far back as February, Jumping Jacks. Why do you think he needs to change course on that?

  7. Jacks if you or I don’t have a right to force another person to wear a mask…we couldn’t possibly delegate that nonexistent right to anyone now could we ?

  8. Bob C – You know what a nutjob Trump is. Is it really that hard to imagine how crazy he could be about covid-19 when he recovers? Don’t forget about his crazy army of white supremacists, radicals, and supporters who would more than likely take his covid policies and enforce them on people in quite a violent way.

When Trump was trying to build his wall between Mexico and The USA, those crazy people started showing up in droves with guns to take over border protection.

    These are crazy times.

  9. Crazy times indeed. By the way, Jumping Jacks, have you considered making an appointment with a mental health professional? The underlying cause of paranoid delusions should definitely be diagnosed so that treatment can begin.

  10. Mmm hmm. Mmm hmm. To be sure, Intrigare. To be sure.

Oh, and Jacks? You probably shouldn’t be voting for a while either. Paranoid delusions can severely affect judgment and might even cause you to vote for the wrong person. You definitely don’t want that to happen. I mean why risk that sort of thing, munchkin?

  11. Indeed. Selecting who specifically is going to force us to wear masks is perhaps the most important decision of our time and not to be taken lightly, right Jacks?

  12. “Since this will come from a federal level, It will be interesting to see what the freekeeners will do.”

The president has no ability to mandate facemasks. If you look at the drug war they required the assistance of states to pull it off. Without the cooperation of a given state the federal government will not have the ability to enforce it’s mandate. To give you a perspective on the problem there are about 2 million police in the United States at the state level and only 120k federal agents by comparison. So for the math deficient that is like around 17 times as many state and local cops as law enforcement at the federal level. Basically you have to either have the support of the state or maybe focus your federal law enforcement agents exclusively on policing a handful of states if only a handful don’t cooperate in enforcement action. So maybe not impossible, but it’s not likely that you are going to take FBI agents off serious federal cases in order to police ordinance level offenses.

Jumping Jacks is too far gone for that. He thinks he works at a mental health facility. No one doubts he’s in a mental health facility, but if they haven’t succeeded at treating him yet, chances are they never will.

  14. Here are a couple typical dialogues that I have around masking…

    Scenario 1
Enforcer: Do you have a mask?
Me: Yes (pull it out but don’t put it on, continue on my way unless they say I have to wear it)

    Scenario 2
Enforcer: Would you wear a mask please?
Me: Are you *asking* me, or *demanding* I wear one?
Enforcer: You have to wear a mask to be in here.
Me: Who should I blame for that, _________ (name of establishment) or the government?
