State Representative Caleb Dyer: “Reasons I Switched to the Libertarian Party”

Recently, NH state representative Caleb Dyer made history by switching to the Libertarian Party, making him the only sitting state rep nationwide who is an LP member. So of course, he had to be a featured speaker at this year’s Libertarian Party of New Hampshire convention! Here’s the video of his speech:

Jumping Jacks

It would appear the libertarian group is desperate. Real politicians would never join your party because it would be the death of their careers.

What on earth is a “real politician,” Jacks? You’re not referring to the corrupt ones like Maggie Hassan, now are you? You know, the ones who steal taxpayers’ money in order to start very their own line of name-brand vodkas?

Jumping Jacks

Maggie Hassan isn’t a crook. She had a high popularity pole. Also, there isn’t any libertarians in congress as of yet. Next, libertarians want to abolish the welfare system. Most of these freekeeners and others are on some sort of welfare. That is a hypocrite. Do some homework. Your trolling just isn’t what it used to be.

Drac Vermell

Now Jacks, it’s really very ungentlemanly of you to be continually spreading these lies of yours. You know as well as I do that most of Free Keene’s members are in fact gainfully employed. Some of them even own and operate their own businesses. You’re not begrudging these people because of your own lack of personal success, now are you Jacks? Oh and Jacks? I’m shocked that you’re not as outraged as I am that Maggie Hassan used her position as governor to divert public money into, of all things, a retail vodka enterprise. Did you know that she’s even… Read more »

Did you know that she’s even autographed some of the limited edition bottles herself? Since you’ve contended in the past to be an addiction specialist, I wonder why you don’t find this sort of thing to be even a tad bit objectionable? It’s not because you find it awkward finding fault with politicians who happen to be on your side of the political spectrum, now is it… Read more »

HRearden

Nixon was popular in poles when he was re-elected in ’72. Even Hitler was popular at one time. Being popular does not mean that one is not a crook. Welfare existed prior to the state creating it’s own welfare system. What is wrong is for the state to steal people’s money they call “taxes” and about 3/4 of what is suppose to go to welfare programs pays the salaries and wages of the employees of those programs while what is left is re-distributed to people receiving money from the programs.

Drac Vermell

Exactly HRearden. Why even Al Capone enjoyed a fair amount of popularity during his heyday – and he was a violent gangster! But Jacks has made it quite clear that he’s pretty much OK with whatever crimes government gangsters commit just as long as they do it for the benefit of those who vote for them. He’s funny that way.

Jumping Jacks

Prove what she did didn’t help the state? You know not of what you are talking about.

Drac Vermell

Now Jacks, you should know better than this. According to you, the very act of peddling drugs – and alcohol is a drug you know – causes harm to society. Are you suggesting that the consequences of such actions are immaterial as long as the state is doing it? Since you’ve contended in the past to be an addiction specialist, I wonder why you don’t find this sort of thing to be even a tad bit objectionable?
