Cheshire Sheriffs Employee Alleges Sexual Harassment

Not long after former Cheshire County Attorney Peter Heed was arrested for DWI, more shocking allegations have been made against other county officers – this time the Sheriff’s department, and by one of their own. A dispatcher in the department alleges constant sexual harassment by department employees and also that then-Sheriff Dick Foote attempted to intimidate her. The Sentinel has the story:

A dispatcher for the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office filed a civil lawsuit against the department alleging discrimination and sexual harassment.
The dispatcher, Abbie Fox, claims that her employee rights were violated because some department employees sexually harassed her for a lengthy period of time.
Fox also claims that the department supervisor neglected to handle her complaints properly, which ultimately created a hostile work environment for her, according to the six-page suit filed Jan. 9 in federal court in Concord. (more…)

Amanda Bouldin Interviewed on “Girard at Large” on WLMW in Manchester

Amanda Bouldin90.7 WLMW’s “Girard at Large” had Shire Sharing‘s Amanda Bouldin to discuss Free Staters and the police. Here’s part one and part two. State representative and Free State Project participant Mark Warden also called in.

In the audio, Girard references some nasty comments made toward the police during a recent poll he had on his website. He claims they “came out of the Free Keene people”. However, that does not sound to me like anyone from Free Keene, so I would like to know exactly who and what was said. I will be reaching out to Girard to find out more about his allegations.

“Derrick J’s Victimless Crime Spree” Street Date Delayed to 2/19

DVDPlease accept my apologies for this unfortunate news:

Our distributor, MVD, (They have been great, by the way.) has had to push the street date of the Director’s Cut DVD back to 2/19. They were moving offices around the new year and said a “comedy of errors” led to missed deadlines, which led to failing to deliver the DVD when-promised.

I wish I had better news, but the DJVCS DVD IS still coming, and it will be worth the wait!

The good news is you can still get your pre-order in at the $8.99 price through Amazon.

Thank you for being patient and understanding.

While you are waiting for the extra month, you could keep busy by writing your review of the movie on Amazon, IMDB, or our site.

Plus, you can watch the trailer for the DVD. Then, start thinking about having a screening of the DVD for your friends, family, or general public! Here’s more about doing that.

Finally, please take a moment to like the DJVCS Facebook page or join the email list to be kept-in-the-loop about the movie.

NH Judicial System Officially Recognizes Free Keene as News Media

Last month the NH Supreme Court announced a new registration process making recording court hearings a little easier for people who take the time to register as news media. Basically, the new process is once your registration is approved, one need only show a copy of the approved registration form to a court security officer to gain access to recording hearings, rather than having to fill out a form at the clerk’s window on each visit. So, it makes the process a little easier, plu

According to the registration guidelines, in order to qualify as “news media” an organization must meet certain criteria:

News media are defined as established organizations, or individuals, that regularly gather, report, edit, broadcast and publish news or matters of public interest, either in print or electronically. The definition of “news media” includes Internet-based “new media” that regularly update content. The definition does not include personal websites. It is the responsibility of online organizations to demonstrate that they meet the definition of “new media.”

Free Keene has met the criteria and is now listed as a “Registered News Organization” on the court’s website along with the AP, WMUR, and various newspapers.
