Keene, NH – The NH Liberty Party has filed a slate of electors with the New Hampshire Secretary of State.
While 35 States currently require a declaration of intent from those wishing to be write-in candidates, New Hampshire is among the states without write-in declarations. Even though all write-in votes are considered valid, they are not always counted.

The Keene Sentinel published a letter to the editor titled Vote “no” on Question 2. I thought it would be a good idea to post that letter to Free Keene, to give readers an opposing opinion to that of Brad Jardis.
As I began reading the letter, I immediately noticed a major error. One that was not noticed by the editors of the Sentinel. (more…)

Dear Mr. Perry:
Thank you for your comments regarding Iran. I appreciate hearing from you.
The Iranian regime has taken advantage of the international community’s willingness to repeatedly return to the negotiating table in order to buy time and advance its nuclear program. As the failed P5+1 negotiations have demonstrated, the Iranian regime has little desire to compromise and appears committed to pursuing a nuclear weapons capability.

The Sentinel ran two recent LTE’s regarding the Registry of Deeds. One letter told how the office was filthy and needed to be cleaned. The other letter was written by the current Register of Deeds, claiming the budget had been cut to the point that “there was nothing left to cut.” (more…)

The Cheshire County Candidates Forum will be held October 16 at 2pm in the Ruth Huntress Auditorium of the Keene Public Library. A total of 27 candidates from 3 parties were invited, 9 candidates have accepted the invitation to attend.
This event will be recorded with plans to submit the forum to Cheshire TV for broadcast before the election. Additionally, arrangements are being made to livestream the event online.
There will be sample ballots available for all 5 Wards in Keene and a table will be available for candidates to distribute literature.
The forum schedule will be followed as closely as possible.
Cheshire County Candidates Forum Schedule:
2PM event begins introduction & explain format
Larry Phillips -State Rep. Cheshire 5 (10 minutes) – 2 minute opening statement, 8 minute Q&A with questions from moderator & audience (90 second response)
Hardy Macia – US Congress 2 (15 minutes) – 2 minute opening statement, 13 minute Q&A questions from moderator & audience (90 second response)
John Babiarz – Governor (15 minutes) – 2 minute opening statement, 13 minute Q&A questions from moderator & audience (90 second response)
Twenty five (25) minute debates will be held for each of the three races with multiple candidates attending. The debates will have 4 parts:
1) each candidate will have 90 seconds to make an opening statement;
2) 8 minute Q&A with questions from the moderator (alternating first response – first candidate to respond gets 60 seconds, second candidate gets 60 seconds, first candidate gets 30 seconds to rebut;
3) “Rapid Fire” questions from the audience – each question answered by only 1 candidate, 60 second response (each candidate will have 3 rapid fire questions)
4) each candidate 60 second closing.
