Yesterday, our friend and co-blogger here at Free Keene, Sam from the Obscured Truth Network was arrested and from the sound of it, tortured. He was attempting to record with his video camera in the allegedly public lobby of the Keene District Court. His attempt at videoing was in response to the arrest of Dave Ridley from the Ridley Report a month earlier for videoing in the same place. Sam’s fellow liberty activists, including Dave Ridley were all present to see and hear the tyranny in action. Since no video footage exists to my knowledge except what is inside Sam’s HD camera (now in the Keene PD’s possession), you’ll have to experience the event through the ears of my audio recorder.

According to Keene District Court, Sam has been charged with “Disorderly Conduct”, “Resisting Arrest”, and “Refusal to Process”. He is being held until he requests an arraignment. This means he’s either in a holding cell or in solitary, from what I have gathered.
If you’d like to contact Sam’s captors and those responsible for what happened, here are the numbers:
* Cheshire County Jail
(603) 399-7794
* Keene District Court
(603) 352-2559
* Keene Police Department
(603) 357-9815

The city councilors voted to steal some homes this week, so liberty activists turned out in record numbers as callers to WKBK’s “Talkback”, a show hosted by two councilors, Cynthia and Paula. This is the best episode so far. Activists pack the phones and when the statists get through all they have are their usual ad hominems and whining. Cynthia is clearly shaken by so many people pointing out that she and the other councilors were stealing, however steadfastly denies it by saying that it’s not stealing because it’s the law! Listen and be amazed, then mark your calendar for 9a-12p on Saturdays to join us for another listening and calling session in the Free Keene Chat and on-the-air on the Liberty Radio Network.
Better yet, join the fun here in Keene!

Just a reminder that tomorrow morning (Saturday 4/4), liberty activists in Keene and around the world will be listening to WKBK’s “Talkback” and calling in with a pro-liberty viewpoint. Now, this event happens on a weekly basis but I’m announcing it on the blog this time because just yesterday the city council here in Keene voted to steal homes from people. Would you like to share your thoughts with them? Please join us from 9am-12pm ET right here in the Free Keene Chat. You can listen to the show even if you are not in the Keene area on the Liberty Radio Network. The call in line is 603-357-1290. Hope to see you in the chat and hear you on the air!

Liberty activists called WKBK’s Talkback this morning and discussed hemp, government and the problems it creates, the city of Keene funding a private gardening co-op with taxpayer dollars, Free Staters and peacefulness, cameras in court, motivations for disobedience, OTN Sam’s garden offer, the monopoly on violence, affecting change, spending others’ money, property taxes, voluntaryism, health codes, the Free State Project, marketizing services, and police. The smarmy statist calls in again to level his usual insults and ad hominems at liberty activists. We still do not know who he is. Fred Parsells claims in an email that he does not know who the mystery caller is, but he does appear to know that he works at Dartmouth.
If you are awake on Saturday mornings, we could really use your help! Please join us in calling the program with a pro-liberty viewpoint. Get details on when and how and discuss with other activists on this Free Keene forum thread.

Liberty activists called WKBK’s Talkback this morning and discussed dancing licenses, recording public trials, property taxes and business development, the free market and the economic situation, the violence of the state, alcohol and young people in Europe, liberty activists showing up at city council meetings, property rights, and privatization. You’ll get to hear Cynthia and fellow city councilor Nat Stout actually talk some sense in the beginning of the archive, though Nat blames the free market for the economic troubles the country is facing. While NH has it’s share of problems, at least many of the politicians are friendly towards a number of freedom ideas. To their credit, both Nat and Cynthia voted against a ban on bars being built within 500 ft of an existing bar.

Liberty activists called WKBK’s Talkback this morning and discussed free market services, courtroom oppression, and running red lights. You’ll hear them censor a portion of Lauren’s call where she was attempting to promote the upcoming award ceremony for judge Burke on 3/22, 5pm at Vendetta in Keene. I have emailed Cynthia to ask for an explanation as to why this portion of her call was dumped. I will post her response when she makes it. Dumping Lauren’s promotion of an event seems a little unfair as people call Talkback constantly to announce community events. You’ll also hear the smarmy statist guy call in to try to show everyone how smart he is.
