Liberty on Tour‘s Pete and Ademo are going to court in Greenfield, MA on Monday, 7/18 for a trial at 8am. Here’s the facebook event. They are being accused of “wiretapping”, a felony charge, and face six years in prison. Why? Because they recorded some bureaucrats at the Greenfield jail. Here’s footage from the incident:
Please come out to support Pete and Ademo on Monday at Greenfield District Court!
UPDATE: According to Ademo, the court has banned distribution of fliers to potential jurors. He has requested that attendees not violate this ban, as he does not want the robed man to delay the trial further. The prosecutor also unsuccessfully attempted to have the robed man ban t-shirts with messages on them, which the robed man declined to do. So, wear your shirts, bring signs, and join the protest at the court just before 8am on Monday!
Liberty on Tour‘s Pete Eyre and I went down to Palmer, MA with some other Keeniacs and helped protect local fireman Jay Noone from being evicted from the property he rightfully owns. To this day, Jay has not been evicted.
We also spent some time visiting with the bureaucrats at Palmer town hall, who just-so-happened to be having a tax sale that very day!
Here’s the video, thanks to LOT:
It’s all arbitrary. In Keene, sometimes activists are arrested for wearing hats, sometimes not. Sometimes people are threatened and arrested for using video cameras in the court lobby, sometimes not. Here’s video of Free Talk Live host Mark Edge taking a speeding ticket to trial and being found guilty. You’ll also see court security attempting to intimidate Liberty on Tour’s Pete and Ademo into removing hats and gum. They fail. Chief of security Lance Walton instructs the lumbering goons to back off and let the robed man decide, then the robed man ignores the hats and gum.
After sitting in court quietly for around 20 minutes, a court security officer walked up to Beau in the middle of a trial and told him he should remove his hat.
The judge took notice of the hat moments later and called a recess with the ultimatum “If you still have the hat on when I come back, I’m going to hold you in contempt.”
The video picks up during this recess.
He was later brought back before Judge Burke and sent to jail for 5 days for this.
