Liberty activists called WKBK’s Talkback Saturday morning and discussed parks, pensions, withholding property taxes, tax sales, Ed Brown, government aggression, using the system, and leaving the country. Listen to Cynthia’s cognitive dissonance as she rejects the idea that government would throw a tax protester from their home and later admits she just “goes along to get along”.

A letter from Dave Ridley to the Keene Sentinel:
On Nov. 14, authorities at Keene District Court ordered documentary videographer Tom Caruso to shut off his camera – and keep it off. They were just four minutes into a trial he drove four *hours* to film. No acceptable explanation was provided.
I know some of the court operatives and personally like them. But like them or not, they should not be able to draw a veil of secrecy around their public proceedings. You have a right to know what they’re doing with your money. You have a right to know how it looks.
In protest of their partial censorship, I’ve informed KDC authorities I will respectfully attempt to enter the courtroom around 8:00 a.m. on March 3. I’ll have a video camera, and I will *not* shut it off. Not without an acceptable reason. I’ll film the trial of Gandhi-emulating marijuana activist Andrew Carroll in an appropriate, comprehensive manner, or be arrested.

“Like cocaine, Ritalin is a powerful stimulant that increases alertness and productivity. Ritalin and cocaine also look and act the same. Both have a similar chemical structure, and both increase dopamine levels in the brain. They do this by blocking a dopamine transporter protein responsible for the reuptake of dopamine at the synapse.”
“Ritalin is not addicting when taken as prescribed by doctors. Why this difference between Ritalin and cocaine? Ritalin is a pill that you swallow, so the drug takes longer to reach the brain. Cocaine is taken in high doses by injection or snorting. It floods the brain quickly with dopamine, which makes it dangerous and addicting.
Unfortunately, Ritalin is quickly becoming a drug of choice for teens. It’s relatively cheap and accessible. And because it’s a prescription drug, it’s perceived to be safe. But if Ritalin is abused (taken in high doses) or taken improperly (by injection or snorting), it can be just as addicting as cocaine. This is because drug delivery methods can influence the addictive potential of a drug. ”

Drugs are drugs.
The War on Drugs has been a success. It has done what was intended: growing the size and scope of the government, militarize local law enforcement and injecting into local law enforcement tendrils of federal influence via funding.

I was contacted yesterday by a downtown Keene business owner, Nicholas Sansone, owner of Moda Suo Studio Hair Salon on Main St. Apparently certain members of the city council have proposed an protectionist ordinance that will restrict bars from being opened within so many feet of any existing bar in downtown Keene. Nicholas has created a petition to oppose this ordinance and would like to invite you to sign it. I have signed.
Nicholas has told me that he will be attending the next Social Sunday event to meet up with local activists.

Liberty activists called WKBK’s Talkback this morning and discussed cutting government, market policing, the violence of the state, so-called disorderly houses, and more. Listen as host and city councilor Paula-Ayn Phillips claims that government aggression isn’t violence! Plus, this week’s featured statist callers claim Free Staters shouldn’t be allowed to call Talkback, challenged activists to do mass civil disobedience, and expressed great frustration at our phone call volume compared to that of the “progressives”.
