Watch and be amused by the antics of these federal cops and security guard. As usual, they attempt to intimidate and give orders, but for the most part, photographer Carlos Miller was not having it and does not obey. They end up all backing down. It helps, as evidenced, to have more than one cameraman on hand if you are going to attempt recording around the police:
In light of my recent TSA encounter, I have received national media attention, including FOX News, Drudge Report, InTouch magazine, and more. Even the TSA published a pair of their own videos, since they had the freedom to do something I was prevented from doing myself – recording. The videos, which lack even the most standard feature(s) of surveillance videos like a time stamp, the ability to show multiple angles of the same area, or even a clear view of one area in general; are supposed to disprove my claims. While everyone is free to determine what they believe to be true, to me this another case of government not giving you the full story. The TSA has continuously been caught in lies to cover the embarrassment of the truth, and this seems to be yet another instance of that, in attempts to misguide attention from the real issue. The biggest question for me is: why is there a large portion of the secondary screening area not shown in either camera angle? An area where much of my incident took place, and where countless others have been taken to be put through a procedure I can only describe as molestation. This should be a concern for everyone.

A candlelight vigil is being held this Wednesday, October 20th, at 5:30 pm in Central Square to draw attention to suicides by teens blamed on anti-gay bullying. AIDS Services for the Monadnock Region is sponsoring the Keep Spirit Alive vigil. Participants are asked to wear purple to represent spirit in the pride rainbow flag.
Organizers said nine young men between 13 and 19 and a 19-year-old woman committed suicide in the United States between July and September after being harassed in their schools and communities. A high turnout at events like this shows struggling kids can see that they’re not alone, that there are people in their community who want them to lead full and fulfilling lives.
I’m strongly encourage Keene activists and other readers of Free Keene to show up at this event. I’ll bring some extra candles.
A lot of people don’t have purple in their wardrobe. Please don’t let that discourage you from coming.
What would we do without the heroes in the Keene Police Department? Thank goodness they are here to keep us safe from the criminal Cub Scouts selling us cotton candy and the volunteers at the Hundred Nights shelter selling us baked goods! Here’s the news story from the Sentinel. I heard there was video taken, but I haven’t seen it pop up yet.
Many businesses and nonprofit organizations name Pumpkin Festival as their most profitable selling day or fundraiser.
But a few fundraisers were cut short by police and festival organizers.
Police shut down three vendors for operating without permits this year.
One of them was the Cub Scout Pack 297 cotton candy booth. (more…)
