LRN.FM Launches 2016 Satellite Fundraiser – Can you help?

Hotbird Coverage Map

Help LRN.FM Expand Satellite Coverage to Europe!

A few days ago, LRN.FM – The Liberty Radio Network kicked off its 2016 Satellite Fundraiser. This year we’re hoping to expand our international Free-to-Air satellite coverage to include Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Our current satellite coverage includes North America, Central America, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Last year, our first-ever fundraiser raised enough to keep our African satellite on-the-air. This year, the Indiegogo-based fundraiser is going to be promoted via a “headtalker” – a website that allows you to sign up to join in a social media blast to promote something. Sign up here via your preferred social media and then on Independence Day, July 4th the headtalker will post to your social media about our fundraiser. We’ve set a goal of 200 people – can you be one of them?

Obviously you can go donate to the fundraiser right now, but even if you can’t afford to help, you can definitely add your social media reach to the headtalker – so please do!

Ridley to Hold Secession Protest at Manchester Federal Building Sunday

Secede Sign

Secession NOW!

Dave Ridley of the Ridley Report has put out a press release announcing a secessionist “DC-out-of-NH” protest scheduled for Sunday evening, June 26th at 6pm at the Norris Cotton federal building at 275 Chestnut St. in Manchester. A litter pickup will be happening in the immediate area from 5-6p with the protest starting at 6pm. He says supporters of the Foundation for NH Independence or NH autonomy in general are welcome to attend. He’s made an event for it on facebook here. Here’s Ridley’s explanation as to the motivations of the event:

During the last seven decades, New Hampshire has suffered over a dozen wasteful, sadistic DC administrations. Each have misruled and weakened us from their distant swamp, providing taxation in return for little more than a pretense of representation. Not one of these has left office with a smaller government than it inherited. Accountable in name only, Washington has used our money to undertake abuses ranging from medievalist torture chambers in Afghanistan to the confiscation of lawfully borne firearms in New Orleans. They have turned our rivers orange and seas black. More recently and locally, they have arrested or helped prosecute various edgy-but-harmless New Hampshirites…from the colorful pot guru Rich Paul to Rochester Bundy supporter Jerry DeLemus.

Now, we face the specter of domination by one of two tyrants, either full of ominous promise, both positioned to be uniquely authoritarian figures in our history. It’s time to discuss an “outside the box” alternative, one that does not hope to fix or operate upon the rotted Federal system…one which, rather, harnesses that rot as a source of fuel for escape. Independence from the U.S. is a contentious concept, but its chances of eventual success seem better than those of the hapless third parties and liberty PACs. Reuters reports that 24% of Americans already want their states to leave the union. (more…)

NH Liberty Party’s Freeman Files First for NH Governor, Democrat Race

Ian Freeman Launches 2nd Campaign for NH Governor

Ian Freeman Launches 2nd Campaign for NH Governor

Once again, I’m throwing my hat into the ring for the office of governor for New Hampshire in the democratic race. The first time I did so was in 2014 where I garnered second place and received more than 4% of the vote against then-incumbent Maggie Hassan in a campaign where I accepted no campaign contributions and spent approximately $2.50 on postage to reply to various candidate questionnaires.

My goal was to spread the ideas of liberty and NH declaring independence from the federal government. That continues to be my goal. It’s unlikely I will defeat the establishment candidates who will be well-funded by the powers-that-be. However, I will do the best I can to spread the ideas of liberty and NH independence with virtually no campaign budget.

In 2014 I had the opportunity to address the republican debate held at Franklin Pierce University, since the other two candidates in the democratic primary refused to debate. What will happen this time? Stay tuned here to the NH Liberty Party blog for campaign updates. Or, just sign up for emailed updates via the signup box in the right-hand column of NHLiberty.info. Hopefully we’ll be announcing other NH Liberty Party candidates for other state races as the filing period runs from today through June 10th.

Here’s a page with details about my campaign and my prime issues which include ending prohibition, declaring independence from the federal government, and ballot access fairness. Thank you for your interest!

Memorial Day Parade Canceled, Peace Contingent Shows Up Anyway

Now in its fifth year, the Memorial Day parade peace contingent once again made an appearance in Keene’s Central Square on Monday morning around the time when the yearly Memorial Day parade was scheduled to begin. However, no parade came. Though this prevented us from joining the parade as has been the tradition for several years, it didn’t stop us from getting the message of peace out to those who were on the road that morning.

As usual, we received many positive reactions including waves, friendly honks, and thumbs-ups. Of course, there were a couple nasty drive-by commenters, including one city employee who claimed “we wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for the military”, to which Rich Paul responded, “yeah, I’d still be in bed”. Plus one other guy drove by and rattled off the tired, old comment about the peace sign being the symbol for the American chicken.

Thanks to everyone who was so supportive that drove past – you make it worthwhile!

Here’s a photo of this year’s peace contingent:

Keene Exit Poll Results: 75% Say Government Too Big!

NH Liberty Party

The Keene Liberty Alliance, a nonpartisan group of people who want smaller government in Keene, once again conducted an exit poll during today’s presidential primary, exclusively at Ward 4. As people exited the Symonds School after voting, they were invited to take our one question exit survey, which asked, “Do you think government is too big, too small, or just the right size?”

Of the 322 people who responded to the poll, 74.8% (241) said it was “too big”, 22.4% (72) said it was “just right”, and 2.8% (9) said it was “too small”.

We collected nearly 30 emails in just five hours. It was an incredibly successful day, due to the high turnout for the presidential primary. Both republicans and democrats alike are frustrated with the ridiculous size of the government and the Keene Liberty Alliance exists to bring people together from across the political spectrum to help reduce the size, scope, expense, and intrusiveness of the government.

VIDEO: Speaking Truth to Power @ NH Legislature Jan 12th

On January 12th 2016, Darryl W. Perry and I went to testify at the state house, as we do weekly during this time of year. Here’s footage of our testimony.

Issues on which we testified:
-Bill proposes to enshrine free speech on college campus.
-Jury requirements
-Police license plate scanners
-Cell phone ban revision

If you want to help move forward pro-liberty political change here, please join the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance, whether you are in NH or not – you can help.
