In today’s Nashua Telegraph article about the arrests of liberty activists Jim Johnson and Big Mike, they are said to have “clashed” with police and are claimed to have been “extremely disorderly”. Let’s go to the LCLReport’s review of the footage from the day in question to see just how disorderly they were. (If you are short on time, the footage of the Nashua 420 starts at 2:09 in):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DnTUCF8oRcHere’s the story from the Telegraph, which fails to mention that cops pointed guns at Big Mike and his peaceful roommates.
This morning Manchester cops acting on a piece of paper from Nashua PD threatened to break down a door, then pointed guns at the peaceful occupants inside Big Mike’s home as they arrested him on “disorderly conduct” allegedly from the 420 crackdown weeks ago in Nashua. Subscribe to Porc 411s for the latest on all three activists, and visit the Free Keene Forum for discussion.
Here are the raw videos that Joe in Manchester was able to take as the MPD agents kidnap Big Mike. Part 1 is here and here’s the more interesting Part 2:
According to a reliable source, the police in NH can enforce warrants outside their “jurisdiction”, so a warrant from Nashua can be enforced by Nashua PD traveling to another county or city and can also be enforced by whatever the local PD is, or the staties. In short, they can get you anywhere you are, no matter the politically designated land mass. It is currently unknown how many others will be arrested. I’m awaiting a call back from Raymond McDannell, a lieutenant in the Nashua Police Department and their media liaison.
A bunch of liberty-minded people called “Talkback” on WKBK last week to discuss noncooperation, fearing neighbors, micromanaging, blindly enforcing “the law”, police abuse, Eli Rivera, customer service, dumpster regulations, cost cutting, and property taxes. Cynthia and Nat get very frustrated with principled, peaceful people calling in. Their cognitive dissonance is very heavy. You’ll hear lots of defending institutionalized violence by the statist callers and hosts. Plus Nat gets particularly uncomfortable and starts laying down all kinds of new rules as far as what types of calls he thinks Talkback should accept. Finally, the smooth professional bureaucrat swoops in to rescue the part-time city councilors! Listen as Keene city manager John MacLean just happens to drop by the studio in a clear attempt to assist Cynthia and Nat in handling the unusual amount of logical, compassionate voices of liberty activists calling in. This is an epic episode.
Do you love liberty and live, work in, visit, or plan to move to the Keene area? If so, it would be great for you to get involved with this project each week. Here’s how you can help:
Please join us for our weekly chat and calling sessions on Saturday mornings from 9a-12p in the Liberty Radio Network Chat room. If you’re online, you can listen to Talkback streamed live via the Liberty Radio Network and if you’re in the Keene area you can tune in to WKBK 1290 AM or 104.1 FM. The Talkback discussion thread is here on the Free Keene Forum.
Concord-area liberty activist Neal Connor announces the State Capitol Smokeout in a post to the Free Keene Forum:
“Would you smoke a bowl for freedom?”
After years spent engaging the political process, fighting not just for legalization but simply for decriminalization and medical marijuana, it should be apparent to all that New Hampshire politicians have no intention of listening to reason.
Instead, we must demonstrate to all that we will not be intimidated by their words on paper. As peaceful people we refuse to submit to their violent rule of law. As Penn Jillette said, “Fighting for freedom is a losing battle. Taking liberty is what real Americans do.”
Let us take our liberty. Join us on the lawn of the State Capitol building as we celebrate our rights as free people! Bring some friends, some bud, and a revolutionary spirit.
Thanks to Jodie and Marc Emery and the rest of the great crew of Cannabis Culture for publishing this awesome feature article all about Keene’s cannabis freedom movement, starting with Andrew Carroll’s arrest last year and going through the Nashua crackdowns. Not only that, but they allowed JJ from the Free Keene Press to write the piece! They included activists’ photos as well as videos from OTN and Anarchy in Your Head. It’s an amazing piece that is going to help put Free Keene on the cannabis activism map!
If you found this website via Cannabis Culture, please take a look around – there’s a lot more happening here than cannabis freedom activism.
