There are allegations that the government people create a corporation in your name at birth. The corporation, like all corporations, is referenced in ALL CAPS. Surely you’ve noticed this scheme on anything “legal” like drivers’ licenses or birth certificates. I don’t know if the allegations are true, but just in case it is, I’ve decided I will start going by a name that won’t cause any confusion with the corporate name of IAN BERNARD.
My decision was between two names, Ian Freeman or Ian Lawless. While Lawless sounds cool, I am not without law. I have my own private law. I will not aggress against others and their property. So, I’m not comfortable calling myself Lawless. Freeman it is.

Keene’s government people are hereby put on notice:
Everything you know is about to change. As each month goes by, more liberty loving activists will be moving into the Keene area. Please understand that voluntary interaction in a free market is the most humane method of interaction for mankind. These ideas of liberty are powerful and infectious. As our concentration and influence build, our ideas will become popular. Your government corporation will lose its most precious element of legitimacy as more and more people choose to ignore your dictates and live as free men and women.
Enjoy your coercive reign of the people in Keene while it lasts. I expect you’ll find your power over others diminishing over time, hopefully sooner rather than later, but I want to assure you that it is going to happen. Therefore, you should start thinking about products or services that you can offer into the marketplace on a voluntary basis, just like the rest of us peaceful people.

What is the nature of this organization of people calling themselves the “government”? Is it based in consent, as their own founding documents claim? Or are they actually a group of men and women doing business by the threat of violence? The latter is what most of the people I associate with believe, but which is the truth? Earlier this year, I ventured into a similar area when I questioned the government people over a parking ticket. You can read parts one and two of that here. So, now we begin a new saga into the world of “property taxes”.

Fred Parsells had me in on this morning’s “Talkback” for the entire two hours on WKBK. In hour two, Lt. Shane Maxfield from the Keene Police Department joined the conversation in-studio. We discussed the Free State Project, Libertarianism, regulations, representation, the pledge of allegiance, government education, Copwatch, monopolies, the roads, gambling civil disobedience, and market protection services.
