Rich Paul’s Story, Part 1: Activist entrapped, blackmailed by FBI!

Rich Paul MegaphoneHeroic liberty activist Rich Paul is facing 81 years in prison for selling cannabis and is taking it to trial by jury. You’ve seen his videos and may generally know his story, but Rich decided to write it down in his words, via his Facebook page. Here’s his story of his arrest, Part 1:

My name is Rich Paul. Last year, on May 31st, I was arrested by the Keene Police department. I was transported to the police station, where I expected to be booked for some crime. But I was not booked. Instead, I was taken to Special Agent Philip Christiana, who attempted to blackmail me. I was threatened with 81 years in prison, for delivery of marijuana and delivery of a substance purported to be LSD. I had, indeed, delivered marijuana as alleged, but had not purported anything to be LSD. The told me I had only one chance to save myself from them … that was to go on selling marijuana, but at the same time to spy on my friends at the Keene Activist Center, a political association of which I am a member.

I invoked my right to council, but Christiana said that if I did not relent, that the offer would be withdrawn, and that I would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and that no plea bargains would be offered to me at any time. I wanted to hear what he had to say, so I did relent and waived my right to council. I said that I would not make any kind of deal with him without being represented by council, to protect my interests. I also told him that we would not be negotiating with him, because he did not have the authority to give me immunity, and because law enforcement officers are permitted to lie to suspects, and that I could not trust him for that reason. He responded with a lie … (more…)

Keene Sentinel Investigates Robin Hooding Investigation

Originally published at freeconcord.org:

Thanks to Kyle Jarvis for penning a decent Keene Sentinel article, and Michael Moore for snapping photos for a front page story on Robin Hood of Keene and the Merry Men. Robin Hooding has been the interest of local media outlets recently as the city expended over $1,300 to pay for under 50 hours of amateur videography performed by former KPD detective Peter Thomas.

City Claims Robin Hooders “Harassing” Meter Maids in Sentinel Feature Article

Robin Hood of KeeneThe Keene Sentinel’s Kyle Jarvis has written an excellent piece on Keene’s Robin Hooders – the good men and women who are on the streets daily, rescuing motorists from being ticketed by KPD’s meter maids. In the article, city boss John MacLean makes ridiculous claims and tries to paint the Robin Hooders as shark-like. He claims they are, “circling” the enforcers and “harassing”, “impeding”, and even “standing on top of” them! Unfortunately, James Cleaveland, aka Robin Hood was at his day job when the Sentinel reporter was looking for comment, so I was able to fill-in and answer MacLean’s outrageous claims. Here’s the piece from the Sentinel (so far the comments on the Sentinel page are all pro-Robin Hooders and anti-parking enforcement!):

Keene has its own version of parking wars.

City officials say members of a local pro-liberty group have gone too far in tailing city parking enforcement officers. And the city hired a former police officer to videotape evidence of what’s been happening. (more…)

Pro-Robin Hood Letter to the Sentinel : Unedited Version

Robin Hood of KeeneA letter to the editor was recently published in the Keene Sentinel by David Crawford. In it, he expresses appreciation for Robin Hooders, the people who save motorists from being ticketed for parking at expired meters by placing coins in said meters before the meter maids can reach them to write a ticket.

However, if you read the version the Sentinel published, you did not read the whole thing. David reached out to let us know the letter had a few things that were cut out by the newspaper’s editors, including his naming of former KPD captain Peter “Sturdy” Thomas and a mention of tax dollars. Here’s the original version of his letter, as he sent it to the Sentinel:

Did you get saved from a ticket?

There are people calling themselves “robinhooders” and they are saving people from getting parking tickets in Keene.

Here is how they do it: (more…)

Police to Release Heroin Dealer to Bust Cannabis Dealer?

This is the insane “war on drugs”: The KPD & FBI bust a heroin dealer then promise to set him free in return for helping them bust a cannabis dealer! The story goes deeper – turns out it was all about targeting Rich Paul’s political associates. The FBI’s Phil Christiana was handling the case and tried to get Rich Paul to set up his fellow liberty activists for arrest. Rich refused to turn snitch and is now going to jury trial on Tuesday at 9am at Cheshire “superior” court. In this video from CopBlock‘s Pete Eyre, Rich Admits he sold cannabis and plans to ask the jury to nullify the war on drugs. Rich says, toward the end of the video, “The time has come to end…this war on drugs”.
