Also, the court denied another Robin Hooder’s attempt to join the case as a defendant. Free Keene blogger Jay Freeville had filed a “motion to intervene”, in which he provided evidence of his Robin Hooding activities, yet the judge denied the motion, without explanation – as usual.

The first-ever Keenevention kicks off next Friday November 1st at 9am! Thus far, nearly 90 liberty-loving people are registered to attend the event! That includes dozens of speakers, panelists, and others buying tickets and visiting from all over the country. Keenevention promises to be an experimental, intimate convention. It’s the convention by activists, for activists and those who would like to be activists. Keenevention is unusual because all of our speakers are based in the Shire. These are the people who are here creating the most exciting and attractive liberty movement in the world. They may not all be “names” in the liberty movement, but they should be. These are doers.
Keenevention’s dozen panels cover the full activism spectrum! From legislators to civil disobedients to media producers to tech-geeks, Keenevention will address it all. Our keynote speakers include the President of the Free State Project, Carla Gericke speaking on the “State of the FSP”, JJ Schlessinger of “Free State Now“, and former Cheshire county jail guard Bryan Tann.

Since the lawsuit against Robin Hood and the Merry People was initiated in May, it seems Keene can’t go too long without another story and additional coverage of the ongoing case popping up. In its Thursday, October 10 edition, the Keene State College Equinox published an article on the local oddity. Bethany Ricciardi penned the piece which features quotes from Robin Hooders as well as observations from the student body. A post on the website of famed conspiracy theorist David Icke today reported on the Robin Hood case using WMUR’s coverage of the lawsuit produced in the days following its filing. After three full days in court for an “evidentiary hearing”, attorneys for both sides in the Robin Hood case have filed their memorandums of law by the October ninth deadline. Here’s the memorandum of law from the city’s high-paid private attorneys as well as their “request for findings and rulings“. Here’s Robin Hood attorney Jon Meyer’s response to their request and his memorandum of law. We’re still waiting to see if the robed man will issue a “preliminary injunction” or dismiss the case.
