Free Keene blogger Darryl Perry’s petition with over 100 signatures goes in front of the State House tomorrow. It calls for the censure and impeachment of state representative Cynthia Chase for her bigoted, anti-Free Stater comments. Here’s the Concord Monitor’s story.

James Cleaveland (“lightspeedliberty”)- After being frustrated by the lack of progress of elsewhere and learning of the Free State Project in 2010 through Dave Ridley of the Ridleyreport and attending Porcfest 2011 and 2012, James Cleaveland moved to Keene in June 2012. Since arriving, he has been involved in many forms of activism in the Keene area from hosting ShireTV, chalking, Keene Copblock, jury outreach, trying to film in courthouses, and most recently, Robin Hooding. James believes that through dedication and hard work a more peaceful society can be achieved.
Michael Shanklin is the host of Voluntary Virtues, a Youtube Vodcast. Recently, he had Ian on to discuss activism, the Free State Project, victimless crimes, and more.

His license is suspended for nine months and he is ordered to pay a $500 fine. The Telegraph has the story.
Dave Ridley has produced a summary video the shortly offered CopBlock Protection, which was recently launched and quickly halted, after making an undisclosed number of sales of the media product. The protection plan offer guaranteed response in the event of an arrest or prosecution in the form of media coverage featured at CopBlock.org. An update posted to CopBlock shortly after the halt stated that all memberships so far purchased would be honored, but at this time no more memberships were being offered.
Ridley makes smart analysis as usual, though he seems to advocate coupling one’s insurance package in the event of needing defense against the state to include both attorneys and media outreach. The centralization of defense, to have an attorney and PR representatives sourced from the same organization will make both fronts more responsible to each other than necessary. Almost all attorneys advise their clients to retain silence with the media. By ensuring activists will be set in motion in advance to bring eyes to your case, the defendant is relieved of some of the responsibility for reaching out to others in the event of an attack by the state. Not long after former Cheshire County Attorney Peter Heed was arrested for DWI, more shocking allegations have been made against other county officers – this time the Sheriff’s department, and by one of their own. A dispatcher in the department alleges constant sexual harassment by department employees and also that then-Sheriff Dick Foote attempted to intimidate her. The Sentinel has the story:
A dispatcher for the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office filed a civil lawsuit against the department alleging discrimination and sexual harassment.
The dispatcher, Abbie Fox, claims that her employee rights were violated because some department employees sexually harassed her for a lengthy period of time.
Fox also claims that the department supervisor neglected to handle her complaints properly, which ultimately created a hostile work environment for her, according to the six-page suit filed Jan. 9 in federal court in Concord. (more…)
