Keene Gets Shoutout in “Granite State of Mind 2: Plow Guy Boogaloo”

Dave Ridley reports from a city committee meeting where he again encounters Keene “mayor” Dale Pregent and is AGAIN completely ignored. This is amazing behaviour from a politician whom one would normally expect to pander to the press. I bet if it were WMUR asking him for an interview, he’d hop right to it. Many other Keene bureaucrats are very friendly. This guy, especially as an elected position, is unbelievable:
This comic is in memory of Andromeda (but often referred to as “Kitteh-baby” by myself). Andromeda is the inspiration for Anarkitty. Andromeda disappeared mysteriously over a year ago but she will continue to inspire from wherever she is now. She had the anarchist nature that all cats have, but despite that, she sure seemed to love her “so-called masters” a lot. As many of you probably already guessed, it is also inspired by the Lysander Spooner quote which actually was “But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain – that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.”
Someone contributed $40 through the chip-in which is why there is a release again so soon, so I considered it comic sponsorship and offered a honorable mention and an ad spot. They weren’t interested. Instead they just gave some nice words of encouragement and gratitude. I don’t post names without explicit permission because I also feel I should respect privacy, but thank you to everyone who contributed.
I’m hoping to write an more exhaustive ‘about’ me post but I’m rather busy, like everyone else, so it will have to wait. For now, here is a post I published at CopBlock.org. It’s fitting considering Free Keene activists did most of the leg work which resulted in me being freed from jail. Thanks again.
Three weeks ago yesterday Pete Eyre was assaulted, hand cuffed and dragged from a public building then put in a cage because he wore a hat inside ‘the’ courtroom. The following day, at Pete’s arraignment, I spoke out against Edward Burke’s (the judge) decision to keep him locked up. The judge ordered Pete to remain in jail because he refused to ID himself and shortly after sentenced me to 60 days in jail for my outburst.
So how did I get released early? Well, with so many great activists doing so many different things to free me, it’s impossible to say exactly what it was and a mix of everything is likely the answer. People were calling the jail, writing letters to Burke, protesting, making videos, filing motions, contacting media and much much more. A big thanks is in order for JJ, Andrew “280”, Aubern, Tayna, Carolyn, George, Smeg, Ian, my family and of course my boy – Pete. These guys are one kick ass team (not to undermine those who helped them – everyone did a great job and I’m so grateful to have support from so many) and I really value the support we show one another.

Free Keene welcomes our newest blogger, Ademo V. Freeman. He has chosen to make Keene his home base and recently made headlines for being jailed on a sixty day contempt of court charge. Here’s his bio from the Bloggers page:
Ademo V. Freeman – Ademo was born and raised in Wisconsin. He moved to New Hampshire to join other activists who advocate for a voluntary society. Ademo has been apart of projects like Motorhome Diaries, which traveled to 41 states and published almost 200 videos while “searching for freedom in America”, Cop Block.org, a police accountability site, and Liberty On Tour, which focuses on several aspects of the liberty movement. Ademo is excited to join Free Keene and when not doing activism, enjoys a good game of poker, a beer, and socializing with friends.
Detective Accidentally Shoots Self in Thigh
You hear stories like these from time to time. This one inspired today’s comic. Cops are ordinary people.
Today’s comic comes with important news, good and bad. I’ll start with a positive swing on it.
Fans now control the release schedule of Anarchy In Your Head! That’s right. That handy chip-in widget to the left of the comic (when it’s not being buggy as Hell) gives YOU the power to speed up the release of the next comic in the queue.
The bad news is this is the last “free” comic release, at least for the foreseeable future.
