Sam Update: Visiting Hours Confusion & New Name

It may be wise to call the jail before your visit to confirm the hours. They are saying it’s 7-9p Thu and 10-11a Sun, whereas Sam told me it was 8-9a Sun. Also, Sam is now listed as “Sam A. Miller” instead of “John Sam Doe”. Those sending mail should take note of the change.

    This sounds fishy. What kind of games are they playing?

    I’m not sure they would pull ‘Miller’ out of a hat. Was Sam ever registered or born with a different last name? Sometimes people change their names when they get adopted or parents get remarried?

    Or, like Ian, he could have changed his name to ‘Freeman’.

    And even more confusing, the visiting hours aren’t for an hour at a time. For example, when I was there on TH the people who got their after us were given 35 min to visit someone. Our group was given 30 min to visit Sam. There doesn’t seem to be any sense of order or standard procedures although maybe I’m not judging the corrections facility fairly.
