4:20 Celebration to Move from Central Sq. to City Hall for Pumpkin Fest
In the name of “the children”, Keene’s daily 4:20pm cannabis celebration will move from Central Square across the street to where young, innocent eyes should never be – city hall.
Event promoter Rich Paul, the one man arrested for possession of marijuana since the beginning of the incredibly successful daily celebrations over a month ago, has announced that out of respect for the very small amount of public space available in the park, that the celebration will move to the front of city hall at 3 Washington St. in Keene. The event will return to Central Square as of Sunday.
Paul expects that tomorrow may be the biggest 4:20 celebration ever in Keene. Due to the threatened crackdown from Keene police, it is recommended that those who plan on toking bring joints and plan for a high arrest potential. Peaceful police countermeasures will be in effect. Please bring your recording devices. See you there!

DAM! I miss all the fun. Can I suggest sitting around cop cars that are trying to kidnap people? When you stand they seem to inch closer and closer til you move, sitting should solve that problem. Form a circle around it. Just a thought.
What happened to 4:20 in Central Sq. everyday? Pumpkinfest should not matter if you have the courage of your convictions. Glad to see the general public only matters one day out of the year.
If you don’t have the cojones to smoke in the square tommorow, don’t pussy out and go to city hall. That’s where you should’ve had the 4:20 sessions to begin with.
You are all pathetic. I knew, KNEW that you were gonna find some lame excuse and make illuminated squash day part of it.
Good luck everybody. I hope everyone stays safe and that no one (on either side) gets hurt. Happy 4:20.
So you will be smoking in Central sq. for pumpkin fest Eddie?
Eddie, it’s not really about public opinion, it’s about respecting other people’s festival. Unfortunately, we’ve got to deal with public property, and the tragedy of the commons, which means these conflicts are bound to occur. While we’re stuck with it, though, it makes sense to try to get along with each other
. The 420 event has had the use of the square every day for a while, I think it’s a nice gesture to let others use it.
I hope those who choose to participate at city hall do so in a non-confrontational, friendly way.
Eddy, what’s LAME is YOUR words/logic(?). These people have the BALLS and (other parts for females!) to live free and openly break an IGNORANT LAW, in the face of Government agents with guns and you call that pussy?
These peaceful people choose to move to City Hall (even more in the face of Government Guns) out of respect of others and you consider that a failure of not following their convictions? TALK about being INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST. You TAKE THE CAKE, pal.
The only thing that’s pussy about all this are the dishonest words that spew from your mouth (cry, cry, cry, whah, whah, whah), reminds me of a Big Baby, which reminds me of the words: Grow Up.
Don’t be fooled, folks. Follow the “link”…See post #84028, above. That is not Eliezer “Eli” Rivera, Keene Police Persecutor. (Note to troll: We’re counting your “e’s”…)*grin*…
