Video of a reported, but unconfirmed, 12 people arrested at the jail rally following Free Keene Fest today! They have reportedly been arrested for “trespassing” on the new jail property.

Most of these activists are now out of being processed from within the jail. Save for Lauren, who had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Known arrested:

Ian
Dale
Aubern
Rich Paul
Lauren C.
Richard Onley
Shawn Trifith
Jim Johnson
Mike Segal
Menno Troyer
Capuzzo
Kate

How does this jive with your belief of the people’s “right to assemble” on public property?

  • smeg

So not cool. And stupid on their part… don't they know every time they crack down, it only makes us more successful and dedicated to our cause? I mean, even a 2 year old could pick up on the pattern. crack down on activists = more activism.

This is outrageous. I think we found a new project… daily jail protests anyone?

  • http://www.dooms-day-device.com Puke

The best part is that the cops keep calling it "private property".

And the construction sign out front states that the jail is "Owned" by The Cheshire County Commisioners: Roger Zerba, Stillman Rogers, & John Pratt as well as Superintendent Van Wickler.

Who knew, I figured since the jail is paid for by tax-victims that it is public property.

  • Lord Metroid

Of course it is has been given to a few people. Why would it not be? After all, providing the cronies with wealth on the expense of the people is what the whole system is set up to do.

  • http://anarchyinyourhead.com dalebert

All but one were processed and then released with a couple hours. Lauren had a warrant out for some silly disorderly conduct charge. She should just be issued a summons and released but they want to punish her before her trial.

  • Zeus

Puke Says: Who knew, I figured since the jail is paid for by tax-victims that it is public property.

If there's anything we've learned at this point, its that "public property" is just a euphemism for "government-controlled".

Besides, robbing people and buying up property with the stolen funds equating to "shared ownership by the victims" is just absurd…

    Isn't it? :)

  • Deoptics8

This should cause a huge courtroom stir. This is a standoff waiting to happen. This should showcase the new jail on how it really is not the public's jail. It's time to get a liberty-minded lawyer to help out on court strategy and a media stir to get the people in Keene to court to showcase the real tyranny of filling up the new jail and wasting taxpayer's dollars on non-criminal's standing on public property.

  • Peacemaker

    Gee what a surprise…

Government "servants" (in reality: THUGS with GUNS) kidnapped and caged peaceful people again.

    Got organized crime?

  • theKINGofKEENE

SCHIZEN!. I wanted to blog eloquent about the wonderful, beautiful FREEDOM FEST we all had today, then I log on to see *THIS SHIT*???…*RAW VIDEO*???…Dude, is that *TERMINAL PARKINSONS*, or some kind of *PALSY* that the videographer has???…I got airsick trying to follow the lens all over the place! Couldn't hardly see, much less identify, *ANY OF THE COPS*!…<–But, Look, *1 single f**king Statie to arrest Rich???…1 KPD cop "escorting" Richard? Only 2 Kpd(???) to casually carry a low slung Lauren???…(they almost look as if they've practised for her…)2 KPD cruisers, 1 SUV, a Trooper car???…No tear gas???…Tasers???…Riot Police???…Police dogs???…No swinging billy clubs???…<—As bad as Jumanjiville & Cheshire County suck S**T, it could be a lot worse. My God, what if we actually had dangerous, violent protestors, instead of all you lovely, peaceful people???…(yes, i know there were more cops & departments present & involved, I'm just saying how orderly & peaceful this bad shit went down. *THAT'S* a good thing…that's all…

  • Larry The Very Large

I don't understand. They wanted these people to leave, and the punishment for being there is keeping them there longer? Make up your minds, thugs!

  • Bradley Jardis

This is one of the most tyrannical police state-esque moves I've seen happen to the freedom movement.

I'm quite sure the GULAG agency didn't allow peaceful protesters either.

  • http://youtube.com/peteeyre Pete Eyre

Thanks for the continued updates everyone. Re-dic. Puke I like your point about the "private property" angle.

  • Lance

I'm sorry to see this. People should be free to meet outside a jail for peaceful political protest in any society.

It is known to NH and local Cheshire County LEOs that these particular liberty activists pose no threat of force or violence.

It is also known that liberty activists of the FSP stripe generally refuse to give money to the state if they can do so without being killed or losing real property and will have to be incarcerated if convicted by a court and sentenced in any fashion whatsoever.

Peaceful or not, it is expensive to arrest, incarcerate and prosecute any individual all the way to trial. How many got arrested here? Twelve? Dumb move.

If given the choice, most Cheshire County taxpayers would probably vote to have the "public servants" just ignore this particular group of political protesters and save the money but coercive government makes this consideration irrelevant.

Things could be so much better.

  • theKINGofKEENE

Sorry, but my first post on this topic appears to have disappeared…Watch the video. Again. Think about this. If all you guys had *RUN AWAY* from the cops at the jail, would they have chased you???…Maybe not. But, *ONLY* *1* State Trooperdude to arrest Rich Paul???…WTF? Where's all the double-teaming???…the back-up???…I'm beginning to think that maybe 1/2 of you actually work for the *SYSTEM*…You sure are *WILLING ARRESTEES*…that's how *I* see it. 2 days ago, Rich Paul has his pic *ALL OVER* European media, next day, local drunk blacks his eye, but Rich isn't sure what the guys' name is. 3rd day, it only takes 1 State Trooperdude to arrest him???…Not picking on Rich, just using him as an example…This shit is sure entertaining. But that's about all it is. Cheap entertainment. OH? I'm wrong? Well, what good have you done? What real changes have you effected???…How have you helped me? I mean, are you gonna save us, girls, from male, white corporate oppression???…C'mon, cool things, whacha got, besides lame-ass street-theatre BS???…OH, and lots of over-educated verbiage. Lotsa that…Way to ruin a great Freedom Fest, guys. And the ""420" rally""???…*1* sign, "cage the cops"???…some 420 rally. wow. i am so impressed. kewl. somebody sat on the fountain. kewl. then, off to jail, to go to jail…stupid stupid stupid. Yes, I'm waiting your replies. Screw you guys. *BRING IT ON*…type-ically speaking…tKoK.

"…It is also known that liberty activists of the FSP stripe generally refuse to give money to the state if they can do so without being killed or losing real property and will have to be incarcerated if convicted by a court and sentenced in any fashion whatsoever…."

I'm calling you out PUBLICALLY, Lance. Name even *1* person who has been "killed", simply for refusing to give $$$ to the state???…Lance also says: "…It is known to NH and local Cheshire County LEOs that these particular liberty activists pose no threat of force or violence…"…so you're all easy pickin's???…'mon, Lance, get real. Has lack of $$$ *EVER* stopped the cops from doing anything???…

Again, Lance: "…If given the choice, most Cheshire County taxpayers would probably vote to have the “public servants” just ignore this particular group of political protesters and save the money but coercive government makes this consideration irrelevant…."….Actually, Lance, I'd bet most "Cheshire County Taxpayers" aren't "voters" at all…Only about 10-15% of registered Keene voters ever bother to vote…Cheshire County is about the same…Not picking on you, Lance, not personally. But I am using your post as an example. That's all. Freedom Fest was great. but then all this shit….whatever…tKoK.

  • Lance

If you were calling me out publicly, wouldn't you use your real name? Of what are you afraid? I thought they already took your house.

I'm sorry I didn't take the time to look you up today during the Free Keene Fest. You're not the guy with the iguana, are you? I should have introduced myself. Anyway, I look forward to meeting you sometime. :) I've got a lot of questions for you.

I agree most people don't vote. All that means to me is that the numbers required to affect real change are not that large. Especially for a "small" town like Keene. I'm not "easy pickin's" but I've sized up the local gang and I think that they are.

I don't know anyone who has been killed just for refusing to pay money but that is the basis of the threat. The point is that Keeniacs and their ilk aren't afraid to go to jail.

  • impale the king

Lance, gee…arent you worried? The overly obnoxious and way too overpresent KOK has called you out. I know censorship is wrong…but cant I at least fantasize about having all the KOK comments immediatly deleted as he tries to post?

    Angry, advocating violence, pointless ramblings…etc.

So, why are you involved here King?

  • Lpviper

KoK's criticisms are fine as far as they go, but for all thne railing, what effect are YOU going to have, KoK? My guess is little to none, since most people have no clue who you are outside of this box.

The thing about a decentralized movement like this one is that people are going to approach their activism the way they want, criticism be damned. No amount of insult, admonishment, or 'constructive criticism' will stop libertarian types from doing whatever they think is best at a given moment, or indeed anything at all that is not harming other people.

And here's a serious message for those who don't like the things that the civil disobedience activists are doing: TOO FUCKING BAD. The nonresponsible government system has been in place for so long that a proper social order that could effect ostracism of undesirables is not even possible at this moment. So you whiners get to lie in the bed you helped make.

Keep up the good work, Keeniacs

  • http://anarchyinyourhead.com dalebert

Well, I wouldn't say no amount of "constructive criticism" will change my actions. I just haven't found KoK's criticism persuasive, nor most of the criticism of civil disobedience. My personal experience has been more powerful and that has been showing me that we are awakening consciences and discourage violent action against peaceful people. We were confronted initially at the old jail, but in a short time we were unhassled when assembling peaceably there. This is a new jail with new people so our work is cut out for us.

  • Lord Metroid

I can not even read what King of Keene Writes, I am sorry King. However yuor posts are always one single long paragraph with weird punctutation, symbols and whatnot. I simply can not comprehend what you are trying to express.

  • Mackler

Well, KOK did complain about "over educated verbiage," so at least give him credit for not committing the act of which he complains.

  • theKINGofKEENE

You're all right by me, Lance. Your reply was /is perfectly acceptable. Thank-you for reading what I wrote in the Spirit in which I wrote it.////////////////////////////////// Comment by impale the king

    Angry, advocating violence, pointless ramblings…etc.

So, why are you involved here King?

"theKINGofKEENE, TROLLMAKER!"…angry? yes. poitless ramblings? yes.(they aren't pointless, but then, you're not my target audience. So, so what???…)but "advocating violence"???…WTF???…show me even *1* example where I have "advocated violence". I don't believe that you can. LPVIPER, you're out in Chicago. How do you feel about those Ill. State Legislators, who want to bring the *NATIONAL GUARD* into the most gun&crime ridden Chicago neighborhoods???…We've had our verbal sparring on here, LPVIPER, but I hope you know that I'm on your side, and that yes, I do enjoy your posts. That we don't agree 100% is irrelevant. I'm glad you post here, too. Keep 'em coming.

For the rest of you, I'll say it again. You aren't my target audience, are you???…I don't "write down" to anybody. I express myself as I see fit. I'm an artist, writer, & poet. If you can't, or won't, take the time to read what I've written, *THE *way* *i*'ve written it, that's just too, too, too bad for your *LAZY ASS*…As for who I am, just watch the videos. The "KINGofKEENE" must be the guy at Freedom Fest, who's wearing the crown? Must be. Who else would it be???…(and, sometimes, you people really, really, really do take things way, way, way too seriously…tKoK…P.S.: TO: "impale the king": Enjoy whatever fantasy you wish. Fantasize about my posts being deleted? Fantasize on, DUDE!…*I* know the difference between fantasy & reality. Do you?…

  • Research101

Oh darn… are we assuning KOK is a guy? I think KOK is actually a chic. C'mon girl… what liberty activism do you do? You're so quick to judge others. Do you idly sit by in fear and watch the government grow it's police state..like most people? I bet you do… Or maybe you are a beaurocrat coming to the aid of your fellow tyrants? Lets hear it. C'mon.. what's your story??? What do you do to make a difference? We all have an "individual" resposibility. NOW.. more than ever.
