Manchester Circuit Court Sets Professionalism Standard

In 11-years in law enforcement, I have been in front of my share of judges as a representative of the state. In my time as someone working towards greater freedom with the wonderful activists of the Free State Project I have seen my share of the system crashing down on people who commit victimless acts that are either prohibited by criminal law or the nearly whimsical common-law contempt power of a judge.

With this experience I feel I am in a fairly credible position to say that the judicial professionalism I witnessed under the supervision of Judge Lyons during the trial of State v. Garret Ean on 11/18/11 in Manchester, NH is the example that all judges and court security officers (CSO)/bailiffs in New Hampshire should strive to reach.

Before the trial began, a gentleman who appeared to be the supervisory CSO addressed the audience and asked politely that people turn their phone ringers off. As I looked around I saw something that rude CSO’s would rarely see: activists complying with this polite and reasonable request. During the trial Judge Lyons was extremely insightful and even helpful to Garret with interpreting and explaining the various rules of the circuit court system. He also went well out of his way to either respect the rights of and/or ignore Pete Eyre’s wearing of a Cop Block baseball hat on the stand as he testified.

I hope other judges and CSO’s in this state learn to exhibit as much respect to pro se liberty activist type litigants as Judge Lyons and his subordinate CSO’s did.

Who knows, maybe even the Judicial Branch in New Hampshire is starting to figure out how to deal with liberty activists without the headache: show respect and ignore things that really don’t matter.

  1. Brad, thank you for this nice post.

  2. You're most welcome. Thank you for reading πŸ™‚

  3. Gee, I sure hate to rain on this parade for Judge Lyons…

That may be how things are done in the Big City, but here in the

shitty, crooked little town of Keene, things are different…

Burke is all about those little, irrelevant things…

    He's petulant, incompetent, and insecure…

Judge Lyons may be OK with a hat on the witness stand, but BURKE???…

So, I guess this means the "no hats" rule is court-specific…

There's a "no-hat" rule here in Keene, but not in Manch?

How many OTHER "court rules" are *COURT-SPECIFIC*???…

Shouldn't ALL NH courts follow the same rules???…

    I mean, courts have rules, don't they???…

Oh, yeah, right. I forgot. Burke is the judge. The judge can do WHATEVER*THE*FUCK*

    he wants, because *HE'S*THE*JUDGE*…

Got that? here in Keene, the "court rules" are WHATEVER*THE*FUCK

the judge says they are…Sad, sad…

  4. keene has psychos that beat people up for fucking hats and have people arrested for talking to judges and ban people and cameras….. keene is full of psychos hard to be happy for manch in this ..situation πŸ™‚

  5. If cops in NH are so bad, why not riot?

  6. Julia, quit needling people it's annoying.

  7. lol πŸ™‚

  8. Julia,

Because rioting is a dangerous crime where people and property often get hurt. We're a little bit more civilized than that.

Your trolling quality has diminished as of late.

  9. Brad,

It seems to me that FK is just latching on to their privilege. You complain about the brutality of cops in Keene and Manch yet are reluctant to take action.

    And I'm not a troll.

  10. Action is being taken every day. Perhaps it is just not action that YOU approve of.

Of course you are a troll. You're suggesting that a group of people who pride themselves on peaceful activism and outreach switch gears and RIOT. Rioting is both dangerous AND violent, things we are not.

  11. Nice post Brad. While I do not endorse many actions of a violent state system, it is good to recognize polite and civil behavior.

  12. julia,

Probably they don't "riot" because it's not a good idea.

  13. I hardly think Julia is a troll – she regularly adds to discussions and on many occasions starts her own that others involve themselves with. Her remark above is a question – not a call to arms. People around here really need to put this troll bullshit to bed; it's lame. Differing outlooks/opinions/ideas does not mean a person is a troll. Besides which, I've seen many a comment from freestaters who HAVE wanted to riot – and have even gloated about the joy they would feel over police officers being killed – it still doesn't make them a troll if they engage in discussion.

  14. If a court officer in Keene "politely" asked Pete Eyre to take his hat off, even with a pretty please and cherry on top – there is no way he would remove it. Ademo would pop an instant woody……would fire up the youtube channel and WHOOP DEE DOO. I've seen many, many, many videos of the court officers in Keene being polite. In return – they've gotten mocked, questioned and ripped new assholes. You can't possibly deny that such things have occurred.

  15. You trollin' Matt? πŸ˜‰

  16. Keene is an example of how to get your opinions heard, and gain credibility at the same time. Peaceful, and respectful, and open to the fact that people don't 100% agree all the time. I'd feel proud to call Keene home, if I didn't hate snow as bad as I do πŸ™‚

  17. Sorry, Bradley Jardis, but I do *NOT* think our Julia is a troll at all…

She *ASKED*, **IF** the cops are so bad here, *WHY*NOT* "riot"?…

She posed a rhetorical question for the purpose of generating discussion…

    Thanks for agreeing, "matt"…

    ——————————————————————————————–

And, Julia, having seen a lot of local Keene "activism" up close and personal,

I gotta say, no, they haven't tried rioting, *YET*…

Even the "FreeWeenies" aren't *THAT* stupid…*YET*…

    πŸ™‚

    ——————————————————————————————-

So far, in 2011, NH LEO's have shot 5 citizens, 4 of them fatalities, and 3 of those,

    so-called "mental patients"…

Here in Keene a couple years ago now, we had a "suicide-by-cop",

A Swanzey cop shot & killed a guy a couple years ago,

and a NH State Trooper iced a guy in Marlborough around then, too…

    Why should the "Freeweenies" "riot"???…

    The cops are already rioting…

    πŸ™

    ~TkOk.

  18. And, "matt", the CSO's ( "court security officers" ) in Keene are certified assholes, shitheads, motherfuckers, and fuck-faces…

More specifically, the truly incompetent "judge" Burke can only exercise the incompetence and petulance which he does do,

knowing that he has *THUGS* and *GOONS*, who are

    *DANGEROUS* and *VIOLENT*,

standing by to do his bidding…

The judge needs the goons, because he can't run a courtroom, and the goons need the judge, because they would *NEVER*GET*AWAY*

with pulling the shit they do, on the street, or anywhere else…

If any of you thugs and goons think I'm BS'ing, hey, meet me on the mean

    streets of Keene…

Burke's moose plate and black lab keeps him safe from *ME*,

but what, or who, can keep *ME* safe from *BURKE*…???…

    πŸ™

    ~TkOk.

  19. Julia's right- Keene is 99% WHITE. Where i live is more racially mixed- which explains why everybody isnt PRIVLIGED. and MIDDLE CLASS. Have you ever ran from the cops? I doubt it. You'll just sit there and get arrested

  20. Julia asks, 'Why not take action?'

What sort of action, Julia? It's really really easy to say 'Do something' but much more difficult to BE SPECIFIC.

    Flail away below

  21. I wouldn't run from the cops, shit, I was *BORN*HERE*…where the hell am I gonna run to…???…

    …and *FIGHT* the cops…???…

Sorry, even I am not *THAT* stupid or crazy…

There's way more of them, than the one of me…

And as truly stupid as I think most of the "Freeweenies" activism is, still,

I do have great respect and admiration for that activism…

Julia, you're one of our better poster-bloggers here, and I am very glad of that…

What, you guys want "holy_canole" back…???…WTF…???…

Can we cut some slack for our Julia…???…

    πŸ™‚

  22. I thought I was…

  23. Sorry, Bradley Jardis, but I do *NOT* think our Julia is a troll at all…

She *ASKED*, **IF** the cops are so bad here, *WHY*NOT* “riot”?…

She posed a rhetorical question for the purpose of generating discussion…

    Thanks for agreeing, “matt”…

    tKoK,

Nice to see you sir. Long time no type.

Regarding Julia… she's questioning a group of people who repeatedly state we believe in non-violence why we are not turning violent because of state actions we find immoral.

    To me, that constitutes FK-trolling.

  24. Fair enough, Jarhead…

OOPS!…I forgot, you were a cop, not a *MARINE*

    lol…..

Boy, that'll teach me to try to guess what other people mean by their ambiguous,

    sarcastic posts!…

OK, you want our Julia to be FK-trolling?…

    πŸ™

  25. Is it possible, that the Manch. courts are being so seemingly "professional', because of all the heightened media scrutiny, on account of next years' election???

Are they just getting a little more media savvy…???…

Maybe they are just setting you guys up for more cops-crap…???…

Still, it *IS* good to see something that resembles "justice"…
