I had questions, so Dick Tracy (really!) was sent to speak to me, but decided against it when he saw my camera. He then came out again several moments later only to repeat his earlier actions. How does not getting arrested make it a success? Can the children once again chalk on the rocks? Did the 325 FRN fine get dropped? If no then I don't know if you can really claim success. but, as a side note, i think i would consider this "successful" because the police we not "against" us during this event. we managed to gain enough support from public opinion that they decided it would be better for them to "allow" our protest, rather than "crack down" on it. this response is much better than previous "chalk the police" events, and i feel it will play a role when the judge makes a decision on the mother's "guilt" in this case.
