Hopefully someday she’ll see the hypocrisy in her support of the state while at the same time claiming to be for peace. (She’s a board member at NH Peace Action.)
Bradford Hutchingson, who has been known to call himself “King of Keene” in this blog’s comments, recently filed for a stalking order to be issued against Free Keene blogger Garret Ean. Hutchingson is known for his bizarre and sometimes dangerous
behavior. In fact, Hutchingson is facing criminal charges for an alleged attack on Garret Ean and will soon be back in superior court for a jury trial in that matter. Hutchingson is also the only city council candidate who did worse than me in the election of 2013.
The superior court’s John C. Kissinger conducted a hearing on Monday and firmly ruled against Hutchingson’s plea, as Hutchingson admitted that he had no fear that Garret was a danger, while Garret told the judge of the multiple occasions on which Hutchingson had attacked or threatened him and offered to show video of various incidents.
During the hearing, Hutchingson announced his candidacy for Keene city council in 2015 for the at-large seats. Here’s video of the full hearing:
The latest episode in the War on Chalk series focuses on the last remaining chalk warrior, Matthew “Boston Strong” Schmidt as he struggles to keep the oppression of free speech going.
Longtime viewers may recall the beginning of the War on Chalk in May of 2014 when some local busybodies calling themselves “STOP FREE KEENE!!!” decided to decimate the free expression of the peaceful chalkers in Central Square.
The freedom-loving chalkers continued unabated, their ranks bolstered over time by local families and an international alliance in the form of some European college girls. While the war raged on throughout the summer, the later-summer lack of news coverage regarding the chalking conflict didn’t mean it had died down. Indeed, it continues to this day. However, only one man continues the fight against freedom of expression – the Chalk Warrior. This is his story:
Say, whatever happened to the tough-talking city councilor’s proposal to ban all chalking downtown?
A prominent member of local hate group, “STOP FREE KEENE!!!“, Jennifer Schmidt has been issued a temporary stalking order by Keene district court’s judge Edward J Burke. Schmidt is alleged to have stalked and threatened to kill a ten-year-old boy with a knife. She has been ordered to stay 300 feet away from the boy in question and to have no contact with him, pending a full hearing in court on December 29th at 1:30pm.
In the stalking petition filed on December 5th by Anne M. Tallon, it is alleged that Schmidt, aged 40, began to stalk a boy, aged 10, (whose name I’ve redacted from the PDF) in October by coming to Fuller Elementary School and glaring at the boy while he was on the playground and when he got out of school. The petition says school admins attempted to bar Schmidt from the playground and parking lot but were unsuccessful. A couple of weeks later, the same day that Keene school district assistant superintendent Dan Black informed Schmidt she was prohibited from being on the playground during school hours, Schmidt allegedly approached the boy in Hannaford and told him to, “Fuck off”. Later in November, Schmidt is alleged to have come to the boy’s home and given him the finger. Finally, on December 1st, Schmidt allegedly approached, brandished a knife, and threatened to kill the boy if he didn’t stay away from her daughter.
Matt “Boston Strong” Schmidt
Schmidt, who is the owner of Embellish Floral Studio in Keene, lives down River street from the boy and Ms. Tallon and a few houses up the street from the Keene Activist Center. She is better known as the perennially angry-looking wife of Matthew “Boston Strong” Schmidt, who has obsessively gone on a one-man mission to destroy peaceful chalkings drawn by children and adults alike in downtown Keene. Matthew regularly drives by the Keene Activist Center yelling “Get a job!” at the top of his lungs, to the detriment of the peace of the neighborhood.
These allegations are further examples of the violent and dangerous nature of many of the SFK!!! group‘s participants. Community members should be on alert for this potentially dangerous couple who moved to Keene from Boston several years ago and appear to have brought along their big government ways of threats and intimidation.
As documented here, controversial “Anarchist Atheist Asshole” Christopher Cantwell has moved out of the Keene Activist Center neighborhood. New-mover-to-Keene Nolan from New York and Keene Cop Block‘s Centurion are now in the house across from the KAC. Today, Centurion hung out a peace flag after cutting down the bushes in front of the house, officially terminating the Cantwell-inspired “Brutalist House” name.
This is huge news. The previous counts of Free Staters in the state house were 12 in 2010, 11 in 2012, and now at least 15! It’s impressive that so many have won elected office already and the official move for the Free State Project has yet to even happen. (The FSP move doesn’t officially start until we reach 20,000 participants and we’re currently over 16,000.)
Not only that, but it’s extra impressive in that the FSP haters put in quite a bit of time, money, and effort to try to stop us. Untold thousands of dollars were spent on hitpiece flyers sent to countless households “outing” candidates as “Free Staters”.
Sure, some candidates lost, but others, like Free State Project participant and democrat Elizabeth Edwards in Manchester, got first place. Edwards even got more votes than did the incumbent!
I don’t know everyone on the list provided by GSP, so presuming it’s accurate – they claim to have done their homework – then it’s safe to say that at least 15 Free Staters are victorious this year, which is a new record high!
If that wasn’t enough good news, the majority of New Hampshire Liberty Alliance–endorsed candidates won tonight as well! (NHLA-endorsed candidates vote for liberty more often than not – they aren’t necessarily principled libertarians.)
Are you still living outside of New Hampshire? How did the libertarians do in your area? Likely they weren’t even on the ballot or did very poorly. Why not move to where liberty has a chance? Move to New Hampshire and join over 1,600 early movers with the Free State Project and help us achieve liberty in our lifetime!
