Initial reports indicated that Evan Pierce was released along with Rich Paul and Noah Wood after todays 420 event. I have come to learn that Evan is at the Cheshire County Correctional Facility.
Keene police, staties, and others from the surrounding areas cracked down on liberty activists today. Here’s the first video to hit the ‘net showing the initial cannabis arrests. Later police arrested three activists for “trespassing” in the supposedly “public” city lobby.
The opposition claims that no one supports liberty activists in Keene, but that is clearly a nonsense claim:
Six individuals were arrested by police this afternoon at Pumpkin Fest. The daily 420 event was moved to the area directly in front of City Hall due to the massive pumpkin display at Central Square. Rich Paul of Keene took to the megaphone in front a large crowd and at the proper time lit a pipe presumably containing marijuana, a plant. Police quickly surrounded Mr. Paul and placed him under arrest. Noah Wood and Evan Pierce were also seen lighting up and were arrested as well.
Three other individuals were also arrested at city hall, when asked about the charge officers indicated that they did not know why they were arresting the three. A witness reportedly saw one of the individuals attempt to enter the city hall building prompting police to arrest him. It is unknown at this time exactly what happened. Ryan Maddox, Dan Steward and Yadra, all from the Keene area.
Latest update: Rich Paul, Noah Wood and Dan Steward have been released; Ryan Maddox, Evan Pierce and Yadra are reported to be at the Cheshire County Correctional Facility.
Mark your calendar for 11a-12p, this Saturday 10/17. Last week there was only one call to WKBK’s Talkback about Kurt Hoffman’s imprisoning for 180 days. I called this week, asked what they thought of Burke spending $15,000 to put a man in a cell who just wanted Burke to use the word, “please”, and didn’t get answer from the show’s hosts. (The hosts are Keene city councilors.)
Also, in concert with this we are going to retool the weekly chat session. It used to start at 9am, but that has proven to be quite unpopular as only a handful of people will just pop in and out throughout the three hour show. The chat has been basically dead for months. So, we’re going to reschedule the weekly chat for Saturdays from 11a-12p in the Free Keene chat room. This tightened window should bring more people into the chat at the same time. Please join in to help strategize our calls about Kurt.
Keene liberty activist Kurt Hoffman was in Keene district court yesterday due to a charge of “disorderly conduct” for caring about Sam when he was arrested and tortured by police. Kurt was charged in April when he remained in the public court lobby to monitor Sam’s screams from the other room. Additionally, he was being tried for refusing to provide his “papers” to an armed man who pulled him over after rolling through a stop sign in the middle of nowhere (Roxbury, NH).
Here’s the audio of the court proceedings. Picking up where the audio leaves off is this video of his arrest. You can hear an apparently rattled Edward Burke, (the robed man calling himself “the court”) as he attempts to justify placing his fellow man, who has not harmed another human being, into a cage for SIX MONTHS.
Put another way, Edward Burke has decided to spend about $15,000 taxpayer dollars (over $80 per day to jail someone in NH) to show everyone that he’s in charge.
