Threatened With Arrest For Free Speech At New Courthouse

teboI was nearly arrested today at the new superior court building while doing jury nullification outreach for the first time in 2014 and also the first time at the new building. In the several year history of doing jury outreach at the court, we’ve never had any real issues, but that’s because we never went inside the court building to conduct the outreach. That’s what set them off today, as they clearly want to protect their new territory from those darn activists who always want to exercise their rights, in this case, freedom of speech.

After I’d successfully handed out a couple dozen NHJury.com fliers in the superior court lobby, court security officer Bob Tebo approached, accused me of “soliciting” and called the sheriffs. I then called up Darryl who was doing “Don’t Take the Plea Deal” outreach the floor below at district court to come record and witness the coming threats. (Darryl had no similar issues with district court’s more professional security staff, by the way.)  While waiting, I continued to hand out fliers.  Here’s the video, courtesy of Darryl:

Great News! Delmar Burridge Resigns From State House

Devil Delmar BurridgeLongtime readers of Free Keene may recall that state rep Delmar Burridge is one of the worst-rated by the NH Liberty Alliance, famously making news here by advocating that a Free Keene blogger, Toby, snitch out his friends for cannabis.

Now, the Sentinel announces wonderful news! The notorious supporter of the police state is resigning his position, thankfully right before a critical vote in the state house regarding cannabis!

Presumably there will be a special election, but no details on that have yet been announced by the city clerk’s office.

NH House to Vote on Legalizing Cannabis Jan. 8th

Pot LeafThe NH house of representatives will be voting on legalizing cannabis on Wednesday, January 8th. Now is the time to contact the reps for your area regarding HB492 and let them know to vote AGAINST the COMMITTEE REPORT of Inexpedient to Legislate and then vote FOR Ought to Pass as Amended. The Committee Report MUST be overturned first, then the Minority Committee Report with Amendment can be adopted.

Then, come out to the state house on the 8th, bright and early, 8:30a to support legalization! (more…)

Robin Hood Saga is Keene Sentinel’s Top Story of 2013

The ongoing Robin Hood of Keene court and street performance has been overwhelmingly decided by readers as the top story of 2013. Approximately eighty-nine percent of the final vote favored the story out of the nine other options. Printed on the back page of section A in the December 31 edition, we may expect more coverage in the next year and beyond as the court saga proceeds towards the supreme realm. The Sentinel took a break from publishing on the January 1 holiday, and will resume the presses on Thursday. Previously released on youtube is a video from the Sentinel discusses the Robin Hood story as it developed over the year.
