Carrots’ creative, courageous activism is not the first at Manch airport. Longtime readers of Free Keene may recall in 2012 when Keene activists Derrick J and Kelly went to Manchester airport to strip down in protest of the invasive TSA, in their “Don’t Strip Our Rights” events.
Plus, back before Free Keene even existed, early mover and civil disobedience activist Russell Kanning was arrested at the airport for trying to board a flight with no ID, a Bible, and a copy of the declaration of independence!
Free Keene blogger Robert Mathias took this photo and says video is to come – stay tuned to Free Keene for the latest!
On January 25th 2014 I made the move to Manchester New Hampshire for the Free State Project. In my short time here I have witnessed such amazing aspects of the liberty community that exists in Manchester and New Hampshire in general. The community here is very strong and vibrant.

After a short time here one very quickly begins to realize that the free voluntary society that we are all passionate about is literally being created in Manchester as well as across New Hampshire. From Keene to the Lakes Region down to Manchester/Nashua and the Free Coast, people are here right now being active for liberty. There is infrastructure in that there are multiple buildings such as Area 23 and the Quill in Manchester where people in the liberty community can hold meetings, events, and of course socialize. Agorism is a large part of this community as well. There are multiple businesses in operation that have not sought permission from “the state”. (more…)
As usual, many of the politicians are rude and walk by the independent journalist. Why anyone would voluntarily pay for “service” like this is beyond me.
Manchester’s premier activist venue is expanding to include the Free Domes located in Henniker, NH. Members of the Quill are hard-working community activists and this move will offer a whole new set of amenities. In an effort to help finance this venture an IndieGoGo campaign has been launched. Less than 24 hours ago, I had never cop-blocked before.
For the unaware, allow me to describe: the term “cop-block”, coined by CopBlock.org, is the de-escalation of a potentially dangerous situation with police employees, by ensuring that all parties are held accountable for their actions. The main task is filming police interactions, but there’s more: getting names and badge numbers of the employees, repeatedly asking “Am I being detained?” to establish the requirement that there be suspicion of your having committed a crime for a stop to even be taking place, and refraining from saying anything more than “Am I free to go?”, as police are trained (and legally protected) to lie to you in an effort to prompt you to say something that they could use to prosecute you.
