FreeKeene Owns Santorum
Rick Santorum came to Keene this Friday and was met by a group of carol-singing activists. He was asked if he Googled himself, he was serenaded, and he was made to feel unwelcome. Local liberty activists Ian Freeman, Beau Davis, and Derrick J. Freeman were “asked to leave” the event–Keene Police took it upon themselves to put their hands on these men, pushing them up the stairs because one of Santorum’s staffers said, “I want them out.”
MPD Captain Declines Post-Chalking 8 Inquiry
Yesterday while attending Occupy the Primary being held at Veterans Park in Manchester, I met MPD captain Robert Cunha. He had come to the park to discuss altering aspects of the occupation with participants in the protest. I had noticed when mailed my verdict following the trial held stemming from my Chalking 8 arrest that Capt. Cunha was CC’d a copy of the ruling. This indicates that he is likely the supervising officer in dealing with the cases that have stemmed from the chalking 8 incident. Following the arrests, it was the lower ranked sergeant Todd Boucher who spoke with press and was cited as the officer in charge during the incident. Sergeant John Patti was the officer who made or ordered six of the arrests. Joseph Mucci, also a sergeant, made 2 arrests and issued one citation that was later upgraded to a criminal charge.
Not surprisingly, Robert Cunha was not interested in discussing aspects of the case. That the potential still exists for legal action to be taken against Manchester PD for false arrest is likely what drives the silence. See my interaction with Cpt. Cunha embedded below:
On Monday, January 9, Ademo Freeman and Wesley Gilwreath will be sentenced following their convictions on chalking-related criminal mischief charges which were ruled upon December 27. Activists have planned to chalk in solidarity outside of the court prior to the sentencing hearing.
More From Santorum Event – KPD Pushes Activists
More footage from the Santorum event we crashed today. Beau Davis captures KPD pushing out the peaceful singers from the hallway in the library basement. More footage is coming, so stay tuned:
Governor Lynch, USNH, and Law Enforcement: Fear Mongering and Ignoring the Constitution as Usual
In a press release today titled “No Guns in Classrooms or Dorms“, Governor John Lynch returns to the same fear mongering tactics he and high-ranking police administrators used throughout the state when they vehemently opposed the modification to the deadly force law which now doesn’t require you to turn and run when your life is in jeopardy.
Oh, the New Hampshire General Court utterly ignored the Governor and his law enforcement contingent and passed that bill. There hasn’t been any random killings in the street like they tried to have you believe, either.
Well done NH House of Representatives and NH Senate. Let’s see you do it again!
From today’s most recent tirade:
CONCORD – Law enforcement and higher education officials from across New Hampshire today called on the House to reject a bill that would allow guns in college classrooms, dorms, libraries and across public higher education campuses. House bill 334 is one of three the House could possibly take action on as early tomorrow that will severely weaken New Hampshire’s decades-old gun laws and potentially put public safety at risk.
Wrong, politicians like you and your law enforcement/USNH cadre put public safety at risk, Governor Lynch. All of these regulations only hurt the people who would never hurt someone in the first place. In Utah and Oregon carrying firearms is specifically allowed on campuses like ours. I’ve been waiting for you or the University System of New Hampshire to come up with some examples of how enhancing self-defense freedoms for peaceful people out west has been a disaster of a public policy change. I’ve heard crickets.
Amazing that this simple logic doesn’t get through to these people.
Not that the Governor and his law enforcement supporters care about the oath they took, but Part I Article 2-a of the New Hampshire Constitution says:
“All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state.”
I guess by “all persons” it really means “all people except if you are a college student, because if you’re a college student you need to be treated like a child.”
Sheriff Dick Foote Bans Activists “Forever” From Court
As if it weren’t ludicrous enough when Cheshire sheriffs threatened peaceful jury nullification activists for holding the door open for people, now the head sheriff Dick Foote comes out to threaten activists with trespass for singing carols in the court parking lot. He says it’s “harassment”, “stupid”, and more. He claims we’re banned from the court property “forever”, and his captain, Trevor Croteau claims we have to ask permission prior to coming on the property! So much for public property and holding bureaucrats accountable – if they don’t like the questions you ask and the place you ask them, they’ll just throw you in a cage.
For those unaware, these threats were levied when we showed up to sing some Shire Choir Chronic Carols in the Cheshire superior court parking lot Friday afternoon, after a week of caroling there off-and-on. Here are some earlier videos of what happened. Video 1, Video 2, Video 3.
