Mental Gymnastics and Recording The Police

Last year the NH Liberty Alliance put it’s weight behind HB 312, a bill which would allow members of the public to record government agents (who have the legal authority to kill you) in public without the fear of being arrested.

This video from Seattle (which went viral today) is the real reason why the police do not want to be recorded:

When Bureaucrats Attack

The now infamous camera ban in the 2nd floor lobby of the Keene city hall has expanded again. OTN camera crews are attacked by Keene District Court Security with a metal door.

All this happens right in front of a Keene policewoman who refuses to even take a report, much less arrest  the out of control court employee.  Plans for a massive camera civil disobedience event are in the works. How much longer can this behavior go on, and how do you feel knowing you pay them to treat you this way?

Ian Freeman’s Trial over a Parking Ticket

The State does not like talking about the New Hampshire State Constitution as Ian Freeman disputes a parking violation in Keene District Court, Wednesday, April 28th, 2010.

Judge Lane presides over the trial as Ian attempts to understand the nature and cause of the proceedings and SamIam rides shotgun.  Check it out!

Raw Video: Court Bureaucrat Assaults Sam, Laughs About It

There will be better footage of this to come, as this was shot with a hidden cam. Sam and Meg’s cameras were rolling as well during this encounter that happened in the stairwell outside the Keene district court. Sam, having already had one camera stolen and broken by Keene police’s Eli Rivera when he was arrested for taking video in the lobby, had understandably remained in the stairwell when Evan read his Declaration of Sovereignty and filed it with the court. Sam was shooting video through the window, when this court security bureaucrat stepped into the hall and attempted to claim the stairwell area was off limits for photography as well. He goes back in, then when Sam resumes videoing through the door the bureaucrat jacks open the door, hitting Sam’s professional HD camera. This can’t be clearly seen on this video, but as I said, a better, edited one is coming soon to FreeKeene.com. For now, the raw video is below.

Mass Arrests at Cheshire Jail Rally!

Video of a reported, but unconfirmed, 12 people arrested at the jail rally following Free Keene Fest today! They have reportedly been arrested for “trespassing” on the new jail property.

Most of these activists are now out of being processed from within the jail. Save for Lauren, who had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Known arrested:

Ian
Dale
Aubern
Rich Paul
Lauren C.
Richard Onley
Shawn Trifith
Jim Johnson
Mike Segal
Menno Troyer
Capuzzo
Kate

How does this jive with your belief of the people’s “right to assemble” on public property?

Free Stater Dragnet Continues – Big Mike Arrested at Gunpoint

Three Free Staters arrested in three days. Russell Kanning, Jim Johnson, and now Big Mike.

This morning Manchester cops acting on a piece of paper from Nashua PD threatened to break down a door, then pointed guns at the peaceful occupants inside Big Mike’s home as they arrested him on “disorderly conduct” allegedly from the 420 crackdown weeks ago in Nashua. Subscribe to Porc 411s for the latest on all three activists, and visit the Free Keene Forum for discussion.

Here are the raw videos that Joe in Manchester was able to take as the MPD agents kidnap Big Mike. Part 1 is here and here’s the more interesting Part 2:

According to a reliable source, the police in NH can enforce warrants outside their “jurisdiction”, so a warrant from Nashua can be enforced by Nashua PD traveling to another county or city and can also be enforced by whatever the local PD is, or the staties. In short, they can get you anywhere you are, no matter the politically designated land mass. It is currently unknown how many others will be arrested. I’m awaiting a call back from Raymond McDannell, a lieutenant in the Nashua Police Department and their media liaison.
