The Tour is on! The Marijuana Jury Nullification Tour that is, being made a reality by the NJ Weedman Ed Forchion, and videographers Beau Davis and Rob Davis, who will be filming this powerful and much needed juror education across the nation. The people have lined up to make it happen and now the money needs to. Together they are raising the funds needed for the Weedmobile to hit the road from California to New Jersey, and to do this they are set up on the site http://www.youcaring.com/mission-trip-fundraiser/marijuana-jury-nullification-tour/73665. It looks like $140 is raised so far out of a goal of $2200, and there are 9 more days to make goal! NJ Weedman has already cancelled this tour once due to lack of funds, so it would be so sad if this gets cancelled again. I am giving my version of the widow’s mite, $4.20 to help, and just imagine if 500 people give $4.20 in the next 9 days, the Tour is on! When they visit jury selections and marijuana trials, imagine how many times 1 out of every 12 jurors might have an educated epiphany, or even 12 out of 12 jurors unanimously acquitting peaceful plant-loving people! So please consider giving any amount to help toward goal, or at least spread the word, and thank you to Beau and Rob for taking on this awesome activism adventure! Many are familiar with Beau’s film, Derrick J’s Victimless Crime Spree, a well-done masterpiece documentary worth the watch if you haven’t already.

For starters, patients can’t grow their own cannabis, there will only be 4 dispensaries in the entire State, and patients will be forced to pay a yearly fee to have a “therapeutic cannabis” ID card, not to mention that such dispensaries will not be open for quite some time.
Some people are making a big deal over the fact that PTSD was specifically removed, however better terminology (“traumatic brain injury, or one or more injuries that significantly interferes with daily activities as documented by the patient’s provider”) was added.
The legislation does not allow for anyone in NH who is not a “resident” to be treated as a “Visiting qualifying patient” (The law defines a “Visiting qualifying patient” as a patient with a qualifying medical condition who is not a resident of New Hampshire or who has been a resident of New Hampshire for fewer than 30 days and is not eligible to purchase therapeutic cannabis in New Hampshire or receive cannabis from a qualifying New Hampshire patient.)
One can only hope that this bill is improved in the next session!
Recently I had the “residency” charge against me dropped by Keene police prosecutor Jean M. Kilham. Kilham had wanted me convicted for allegedly being a “resident” and not having gotten an NH driver’s license. In order to convict me, Kilham would have had to have proven I am a resident, which is a legal term that has certain obligations attached to it, like registering cars and getting an NH driver’s license. The most obvious question is what obligation do I have to become a resident at all? Is it simply that men with guns are threatening me? Even by their own rules, RSA 21:6 makes it clear that a different legal status exists in NH’s system called “inhabitant”. It has the exact same definition as resident, but without all the requirements that come with residency (Lots of statues are written to apply only to residents, not inhabitants.) The difference between “resident” and “inhabitant” is that one must intend to be a resident. This is borne out by their own statute, RSA 259:88 that states:
no person shall be deemed to be a resident who claims residence in any other state for any purpose
That makes it pretty clear that residency is a status that people must seek. If I can avoid being an NH resident simply by claiming residency in another state, then that means I would have to change my mind, should I want to become a NH resident. I have yet to see any reason to become an NH resident rather than an inhabitant. It seems to me that residency only comes with obligations and no benefits. Kilham admitted to me when she nolle prossed the charge that she was going to send her information to the DMV in NH because the burden of proof is much lower at a DMV administrative hearing. (That’s her admitting she has a lousy case.) She said she hopes they pull my “privileges” to drive for a year. Sure enough, I received a packet of information this week informing me that I am “ordered” to appear on Friday, July 26th at 1pm at the DMV offices in Concord. (more…)
July 18, 2013 was National Chalk the Police Day. Several Keene activists went to Central Square, and then to the sidewalk in front of the KPD “Satellite Office” across the street from the Square. Those who attended chalked pro-liberty messages, and had some pleasant conversations with people walking through the area. And, it wouldn’t be Chalk the Police without an interaction involving a Police Officer.
Keene district court judge L. Phillips Runyon has dismissed the case brought against me regarding their claim that I need to have interconnected, AC-operated smoke detectors in my tenants’ home, which was raided by code enforcers and the fire chief in 2012. After a court hearing on the validity of the warrant authorizing the search in the first place, Runyon issued an order invalidating the fire inspection part of the search warrant and throwing out all evidence collected by the fire chief, Gary LaFreniere. The city’s attorney, Thom Mullins then motioned the court to reconsider, which was denied. Meanwhile, I filed a motion to dismiss the case, since the complaint was written by the fire chief, whose evidence had been deemed inadmissible.
That motion has been granted. Case dismissed! This case is a perfect example of why homeowners should not roll over for code enforcement and zoning threats. Many times, like this one, the state aggressors don’t even have a valid case under their own system’s rules! You never find out if you just take the plea deal or do as they are demanding. It’s people’s continued capitulation that just encourages the state people to continue to come up with new ways to control you and your friends and family. I suggest you don’t take the plea(more…)
