In a very special installment filling this week’s AKPF #1 timeslot, a hit new series Canine Controversies episode 1 airs on Cheshire TV at 7pm. Canine Controversies is a loosely organized compilation of controversial canine assortments from the internet, including a specially censored version of a segment which premiered on the locally produced after hours program Black Sheep Rising. Joining the action across the expanses of the cloud, our very own New Hampshire official state vodka bottles are demonstrated for their abilities in concealing and capturing canine scat as need be collected under municipal jurisdiction. A second episode nears completion and is slated for the airwaves soon. Enjoy this complimentary program, Canine Controversies, and many more to come.
This morning, Keene liberty activists and at least one critic (Brandie Roof) called WKBK‘s morning show. Host Dan Mitchell and guest Kendall Lane (“the mayor”) were discussing the New York Times piece on Robin Hooders as well as parking in Keene. Here’s the audio:
Jury nullification outreach has started up again in Manchester NH. Jury nullification outreach is activism with the purpose to inform jurors of their rights as a juror. A jury can serve as a check on the law itself if a law is unjust. Every two weeks jurors are selected at the Hillsborough County Court House in down town Manchester NH. There were five activists that showed up two weeks ago to hand out jury nullification pamphlets. This week we had four activists including myself, Riaz Kahan, Kurt Thomas, and Amanda BillyRock. There were two different pamphlets being handed out. The pamphlets are available from fija.org and nhjury.com The following dates in which future jury nullification outreach will take place will be on May 19th, June 2nd, and June 16th at 7:45 am located at 300 Chestnut st, Manchester NH. If you are in the Manchester area and wish to participate, meet us at the court house. All are welcome to join.
Thanks to columnist Dan Barry for taking an interest in the goings-on here in Keene and also thanks to the editors for making it a FRONT PAGE story! His piece was published today in the New York Times and focuses on Robin Hooding, the Free State Project and the haters. Here’s the story:
KEENE, N.H. — In most places, the parking enforcement officer reflects the municipal compact. Armed only with a gadget that can spit out a ticket at the forgotten drop of a dime, the officer quietly serves civic and commercial life by ensuring that meters are fed.
In most places, yes. But not here in charming Keene, where parking officers figure in a philosophical tug of war between a small band of activists who live by the motto “Free Keene,” and the great majority of residents who were unaware that their city was in bondage. (more…)
Movin to the country • The hell is a guinea hen? • Sending Darryl to the farm • Keene city employees = free parking • We dissect the hell out of some Game of Thrones show and book (Spoiler alert up to S04E03) • Eric and Stormy join • Show notes, audio, and archives at: BlackSheepRising.org
Legendary activist and Free Keene blogger Rich Paul appears on the Rebel Love Show, where he spills his guts about a life of civil disobedience and the high cost he has borne because of it.
