Flowers Sent to Cyntha Chase, Thanking Her for Boosting FSP Recruiting

Cynthia Chase recently created a firestorm of controversy and publicity with her anti-Free-Stater comments. Today, to thank her for all the free media coverage, which naturally resulted in more new people signing up for the Free State Project, a small group of FSP participants put together a nice “thank you” card and flower bouquet that was delivered to her committee meeting in Concord today.

Unfortunately she was not in attendance, perhaps because she’s allegedly scared for her family’s safety for some reason. The flowers were left for her with the chairperson.

Menwhile, the publicity keeps rolling in. The Keene Sentinel ran a story today as did Blue Hampshire.

WBIN-TV Reports on the BEARCAT Unveiling

WMUR’s got competition. WBIN-TV is new to New Hampshire and is already making a splash in the news scene by showing up where WMUR won’t. I was at the unveiling of the BEARCAT almost the entire time, and I did not see a WMUR reporter there at any point. However, WBIN reporter (and Keene-area native) Garrett Brnger was there and reported on both sides of the BEARCAT issue, interviewing CopBlock.org‘s Pete Eyre and yours truly:

Will “Free Staters” be Banned from the House Gallery?

Last month, Cynthia Chase posted on BlueHampshire, “Free Staters are the single biggest threat the state is facing.” She also stated that she wanted to restrict freedoms in hopes that FSP participants leave NH or never move to NH, in the first place.
Cynthia Chase’s post has been removed from the BlueHampshire website. However, I was able to get a screenshot of the post before it was removed.

It now appears she’s trying to prevent FSP members from attending NH House proceedings. Cynthia Chase co-sponsored HB-129 which states:

Pursuant to part 2, article 8 of the New Hampshire constitution, the galleries of each house shall be open at all times during legislative sessions except when the welfare of the state requires secrecy. In the case of a disruption, disturbance, emergency, or other condition which makes it unsafe to keep the gallery open, the house or senate shall go into recess until it is safe to continue. Such a recess shall be as short as possible. The availability of live streaming video, television broadcast, or other audiovisual presentation shall not be deemed a substitute for opening the galleries. Nothing in this section shall be construed as preventing law enforcement officers or the sergeant at arms from excluding dangerous or disruptive individuals, or from preventing entrance to the galleries when they are filled to capacity. (emphasis added)

Since we know that Rep. Chase considers FSP members a “threat to the state” will she use this legislation to prevent any FSP member from attending Legislative sessions?

I just saw something this morning in my Facebook news-feed that made me smile:

The controlling party in the NH House of Representatives may be able to squelch a mandated committee, but when they do, The People will form their own.

That’s probably why Article 32 came immediately after Article 31.

Spirit of Robin Hood Revived in Keene

Tonight’s episode of ShireTV featured multiple angles of video from the premiere gathering of Robin Hood’s Merry Men in Keene. Robin Hooding is a not so new a form of activism in the Keene area, but Saturday was the first time that a coordinated effort of more than two or three activists organized to prevent the parking enforcement officer from being able to distribute paper fines. The video embedded above features multiple videographers’ content and opens with narration from Free Concord’s Garret Ean.robinhood_chicago

At Fr33manTVraw, playlists feature all footage captured by individual video artists. Linked there you can see unedited footage from Darryl Perry, Garret Ean, James Cleaveland, and Chris Cantwell. Other edited segments have already been created from the raw content, including these two videos previously featured on Free Keene from Chris Cantwell. Recent other Robin Hooding has occurred on Dec 26, Dec 31, and Jan 2. Garret Ean and Pete Eyre had a Mexican standoff of videocameras with a parking enforcer when they came across her parking van, as usual, parked at an expired meter on December 28. The parking enforcer encountered on January 5 by the group, Jane, was the most intriguing enforcer yet, interacting with activists despite their open opposition to her official activities. Alan, the male enforcer, has previously refused to answer questions and has made distasteful faces when around activists.
