Edward Burke – Another Public Figure Gone Wrong

Before anyone jumps on me, yes, I know that ANY job comes with perks. Things like free cheeseburgers for the McDonald’s staff, the use of the company car for a CEO or whatever one’s trade might be, it most likely comes with some perk. When employed by the government though the perks get really good.

While a large number of those accused of a crime face questioning, time in jail and hefty legal expenses those employed by the government rarely face their own wrath. I could go on and on about public officials that commit cold blood murder, rape and theft but I’d like to point to a closer incident.

Last June I was arrested while asking Edward Burke – who’s employed as a district court judge in Keene, NH – three questions about him enforcing contempt charges on people wearing hats in a public courtroom (and here)? Edward first stated that I had threatened him, which was completely false (as seen in the video), and tried to get out of it the only way he knew how – lie. Which is why I asked “the system” (aka Keene Police) to investigate Edward for filing a false report with law enforcement (or lying to them effect an arrest). After being passed around from the Keene Police to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office, the file finally landed on Marc Hathaway’s desk – who’s employed as a NH county attorney. It took Marc over six months to write his review.

Yeah, I should move…

Recently a few of my friends were arrested for trespassing on public property, sounds silly right? What’s also silly is the comment I got from one of the arresting Cheshire County Sheriffs. See video below.

It’s sad to hear so many officers say things are fine and believe those who have issue with government services – like myself – should move to another (governed) land.

Seems like there is plenty to do here in Keene (and the Shire).

Police ‘Tank’ Purchase Riles New Hampshire Town by Radley Balko

Courtesy the Huffington Post:

“We’re going to have our own tank.”

That’s what Keene, N.H., Mayor Kendall Lane whispered to Councilman Mitch Greenwood during a December city council meeting.

It’s not quite a tank. But the quaint town of 23,000 — scene of just two murders since 1999 — had just accepted a $285,933 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to purchase a Bearcat, an eight-ton armored personnel vehicle made by Lenco Industries Inc.

But those plans are on hold for now, thanks to a backlash from feisty residents. Resistance began with Mike Clark, a 27-year-old handyman. Clark, who said he’s had a couple encounters with Keene police and currently faces a charge of criminal mischief, read about the Homeland Security grant in the newspaper. “The police are already pretty brutal,” Clark said, claiming he was roughed up in both his encounters with local police. “The last thing they need is this big piece of military equipment to make them think they’re soldiers.”

Londonderry (NH) Police Officer Receives 101 on Filming Public Officials

Above is the video encounter with myself and the Londonderry police officer who claims audio recording him is illegal.

An unknown, because I forgot to get his name (major fail), Londonderry Police officer tried to tell me that audio recording police doing their public duty was illegal. At one point stating, “check yourself.” Since I’m already facing three counts of wiretapping, and have spent the last year caught up in court cases, I turned the camera off. I told the officer that he was wrong and left to seek the others who came to support Kelly and her TSA activism – see this video of the demonstration.
