Darryl W. Perry Keynote 2015

Darryl W. Perry @ Keenevention 2015

Keenevention may be over for 2015, but the video posts have just begun. We record every speaker and panel discussion that hits the stage and then release them weekly in the order they occurred. Here’s the first in the series, the Political Action Panel featuring host Darryl W. Perry. Darryl and his panelists discussed various ways to make an impact on politics from outside the two party system.  Panelists included Alstead Town Selectman Chris Rietmann, former Libertarian state representative Don Gorman, and former NH Libertarian Party gubernatorial candidate John Babiarz:

Activists in Portsmouth Protest Uber Driver Arrests

free chrisFreeUber.org founder Christopher David was released on personal recognizance today after turning himself in at the Portsmouth Police Department. Activists plan to protest the continued harassment of Uber drivers tonight, and Shire Dude will be livestreaming this protest.

Expect updates every hour, on the hour.

This is a live event that will feature multiple broadcast updates.  If the above video is not live, you can access the footage on Shire Dude’s Bambuser account.

UPDATES:

The protest remained peaceful throughout the night, despite encounters I had with a couple of unsavory characters. Christopher David arrived (over 100 ft. away from the tavern, due to bail restrictions), and I convinced the owner of Daniel Street Tavern to have a conversation with him. State Representative Eric Schleien showed up and had a conversation with the bar owner, asking her if she understood economics or the fact that the state creates monopolies (referring to the taxi cartel). The bar owner became upset after this, and she even flagged down the cops in an attempt to break up the protest. The Portsmouth PD declined her request.

BREAKING: Warrant Issued for Illegal UBER Driver for WIRETAPPING!

Illegal UBER Driver Christopher David

Christopher David Delivers his Keynote at Keenevention 2015

Illegal UBER Driver Christopher David’s wife is very pregnant. In fact, she’s due any moment. What better time for Portsmouth police to issue a warrant for his arrest?

Chris posted an update to his facebook today informing us that the officer who threatened him with fines for driving for UBER in this video has now called and asked Chris to turn himself in. A warrant has allegedly been issued for his arrest on wiretapping charges. In a previous threatening call, the PPD officer, Andre Wassouf told Chris he was considering filing felony wiretapping charges, so the warrant may be on felony charges. As of this writing, Portsmouth Police have not returned media inquiries, so a copy of the warrant has yet to be seen.

Chris said, in his facebook post:

I stayed up until 4am last night setting up for the home birth of my son. I am swamped with work and preparation up to my eyeballs, and Kayla could go into labor any minute.

My interest to participate in a POLICE WITCH-HUNT designed to MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF ME by charging me with a FELONY for a YOUTUBE VIDEO showcasing EFFECTIVE ACTIVISM, and potentially making me MISS THE BIRTH OF MY SON… is LESS than zero.

To the city of Portsmouth, I opt out of your system. Leave me alone.

Sounds like he has no plan to turn himself in. Things are getting very interesting on the Seacoast. Chris has shared the number of Portsmouth Police on facebook, 603-427-1500, and encourages you to call and share how you feel about this persecution.  You can also donate to Chris via paypal and bitcoin.

Union Leader Covers Keenevention 2015

Ladies Panel @ Keenevention 2015

Ladies Panel @ Keenevention 2015

Meghan Pierce, a reporter for Manchester’s Union Leader filed this report on Keenevention 2015, focusing mostly on this year’s Ladies Panel. Thanks for the coverage, Meghan. Here’s the article:

‘Keenevention’ draws libertarian activists
By MEGHAN PIERCE
Union Leader Correspondent

KEENE — Liberty activists flocked to the third annual “Keenevention” over the weekend.

Bringing a female perspective to the event was the Ladies Panel hosted by Renee Kate, host of radio show Seditious Sirens.

Katie McCall of Stone Manor, Ellen Ball of Puke and the Gang podcast and Ann Leverette of Seditious Sirens sat on the panel.

The panelists talked about their experiences moving from other parts of the country to New Hampshire to be part of the Free State Project. (more…)

Keenevention 2015: Day Three Recap

Tech Panel 2015

Keenevention 2015 Tech Panel

After an amazing HALLOWKEENE costume dance party on Saturday night (look for pics and an article about that soon) that wrapped up at 1:30a, we began Keenevention 2015’s Sunday morning bright and early at 9am with this year’s Technology Panel, hosted for the third year in a row by Sovryn Tech‘s Brian Sovryn. This year’s tech panel was a full 90 minutes compared to only 60 last year. This year the two 60-minute panels from previous years were eliminated, and now all panels are standard Keenevention length of 75 minutes with a 15 minute buffer afterwards, so popular panels can go overtime, and most do.

Keenevention 2015 Legislative Panel

Keenevention 2015’s Legislative Panel

After the Tech Panel, the first-ever Jury Nullification panel was headed up by NHJury.com board member James Davis. This interesting panel focused on various aspects of the movement for jury nullification from outreach outside the court, to what it was like actually being part of a jury that nullified. We then broke for a leisurely two-hour lunch.

The afternoon included an all A rated (by the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance) panel of state legislators headed up by two-term A+ rated state rep and Free State Project early mover Mike Sylvia. The state reps, which included two freshmen, discussed their various experiences and favorite proposed liberty-oriented bills.

Darryl W. Perry Keynote 2015

Darryl W. Perry Delivers Keenevention 2015’s Closing Keynote

They expressed frustration with the federal government, police state, drug prohibition, and concealed carry restrictions. It’s refreshing to be in a place where some state representatives actually care about freedom and are actively working towards it, and these are just a few of dozens of liberty-friendly state reps! Darryl Perry was willing to delay his closing keynote to extend the panel’s time for audience questions, to which they enthusiastically responded.

Finally, Libertarian presidential candidate Darryl W. Perry delivered a rousing speech talking about why he cares and is motivated to dedicate basically every waking hour to liberty. Darryl’s a non-stop activist and was a great closing speaker for Keenevention 2015.

Post-Keenevention Social Sunday

Post-Keenevention Social Sunday

Though many had gone home by the time the weekend ended, some stayed on for the post-Keenevention “Social Sunday” at Local Burger on Main Street. Social Sunday may be the longest-running weekly social event in the NH liberty community. We enjoyed a few more moments with some of our Keeneventioneers and some delicious burgers made from locally-sourced beef. If you’re in town on a Sunday at 6pm, come out and join us. Though, check the Keene Liberty Activist Calendar first to make sure the location hasn’t changed.

AKPF #1 Production Relocates, New Episodes Return 11/30

It is with great enthusiasm that the production crew of the controversial AKPF #1 television announces big news for the series that shook the city of Keene’s foundation. While episodes had previously been predominantly filmed and based around the Cheshire akpf_censored1bcounty area, new episodes to begin airing on Cheshire TV November 30th will be produced in the state capitol of Concord. This production move will ensure that more globally relevant, universally reciprocal content will be infused into the program, as series director Garret Ean and his uncredited assistant producer draw from a much larger pool of content from the heart of Shire.

As copywrong fascists continue their attack on free information sharing through youtube and other censored distribution outlets, public access television remains one of the few outlets individuals have for unrestricted self-expression in both audio and video format. For this reason, the producers also are proud to announce the show’s impending arrival on the airwaves of Concord TV. A schedule for airings on the capitol area’s public access station will be released as details are squared away with representatives of the station.
