BEARCAT-Supporting City Councilors, Mayor Targeted by AntiSec
Filed under: Copblock, International, National, News, Police, Politics, Response, Update
Did you really think it was going to be over last night? What a shame no city councilors had the courage to change their vote in the face of so much public opposition to the killing machine that the Keene police want to bring to town. We tried to tell them the world was watching.
Now it appears some hacktivists have also been paying attention to what is going on in Keene and the heroic group AntiSec has targeted “mayor” Kendall Lane and the Keene city councilors who voted in favor of the BEARCAT for a good doxing.
They have started with info about Kendall Lane and Janice Manwaring. AntiSec states that the rest are coming. The dox are being posted to the AntiSec facebook page, and who knows where else they are being spread.
Do you think the council expected attention like this? Kudos to the brave hacktivists in AntiSec for taking on this issue and paying attention to the oppression going on here in Keene.
I will update this post as AntiSec continues to post more info.

Cowardly City Councilors Ignore the People, Vote for BEARCAT 9-4
Filed under: Corruption, Issues, Police, Politics, Rant, Response, Update
Tonight, the Keene city council could have made history as the first ever political designation to reject arms manufacturer LENCO and the federal government’s pushing of the BEARCAT police attack “tank“.
They could have heard the voices of the people who were crying out against this intimidating monstrosity that will inevitably militarize the Keene police even more, and as city councilor Carl Jacobs appropriately pointed out, distance them further from the community they supposedly serve.
They could have. But they didn’t. The BEARCAT passed 9 to 4.
Despite the outpouring of opposition in the community against the BEARCAT, not a single councilor changed their vote from December, when they originally voted in favor of it. That vote was 13 to 1. Why were the numbers different? The new city councilors who took office in January were the ones to vote against it. So, the councilors who originally voted for it completely disregarded all the input they received from the community in various forms:
- In a Keene Sentinel online poll, 72% said they city council was wrong to accept the BEARCAT. (Only 12% favored the BEARCAT in the poll.)
- WKBK’s Dan Mitchell stated on-air that 90% of his callers were against the BEARCAT.
- City councilor Bettina Chadbourne related during tonight’s meeting that of the 80 phone calls she received from various members of the community, (old, young, business owners, men, women, etc) only ten calls were in favor of the BEARCAT.
- The public hearing on the BEARCAT featured dozens of speakers, the supermajority of which opposed the BEARCAT.
- A random walk down Main St. would show anyone who bothered to ask people that the supermajority of people oppose the BEARCAT.
- Most letters to the editor of the Keene Sentinel were in opposition to the BEARCAT.
- During the meeting the councilors who favored the BEARCAT got no applause from the packed room, while the councilors who spoke in opposition to the BEARCAT were blasted with applause.
“Only Free Keene is Against the BEARCAT!”
The pro-BEARCAT minority in Keene is desperately trying to make the anti-BEARCAT sentiment in Keene appear to only be from those associated with this website. This is, of course, pure nonsense. Anyone who bothers to talk to the average Keeniac will see the truth. The truth is, the supermajority of people in Keene oppose the BEARCAT. Just take a walk down Main St. and ask them.

Another Anti-BEARCAT Letter to the Sentinel
The Sentinel publishes a letter from David Crawford about speaking out to city councilors regarding the BEARCAT:
BearCat: Call your city councilor!
Hundreds of Keene residents and businesses signed a petition against the BearCat. More than 30 letters to the editor since mid December, when it started.
An online poll done by The Sentinel with 87 percent opposed or wanting it to be reconsidered.
All this presented to the councilors by an overflow crowd; people had to be turned away for fire regulations! Read more
Blank Anti-BEARCAT Petition
Here’s a blank petition to reject the BEARCAT police attack vehicle. Please bring any completed petitions to the upcoming full city council meetings on 2/16 and 3/1.
In Defense of Amateur Journalists

Since it was posted the day following the New Hampshire primary, a video by a watchdog group showcasing exploits of election security has reached over 350,000 views. I remember seeing several friends sharing the video on Facebook, and although I didn’t find it stimulating enough to watch from start to finish (it needed more editing for my taste), I found it to be an interesting piece of investigative journalism bound to start some heated debate over election security.
The video is briefly prefaced with text stating, “If a person walked in to vote in the 2012 New Hampshire Primary, and said the names of multiple DEAD people…Could he receive a ballot to vote without showing any ID?” “© Project Veritas” is watermarked on the screen. If you watch for the entire ten minutes, you’ll see the same scene repeated multiple times. A man walks into a polling location wearing an inconspicuous camera on his person. He says, “Do you have a (name) on your list?” When asked to confirm the address and party registration, he says, Read more
The University System of New Hampshire Says They’re a Political Subdivision, Superior Court Says They Are Not

They said they were, the Grafton County Superior Court now says they’re not.
Don’t you worry… we’re not close to being done with them on self-defense freedom for PUBLICLY FUNDED AND TAX EXEMPT university students.
Notice how Judge Vaughn italicizes “responsible” citizens… to emphasize that Tommy Mozingo and I are not. (We’ve never been convicted of a single criminal offense.)
I’d say protesting the government in favor of natural and constitution rights is the only responsible thing to do when the government illegaly infringes on those rights.
Locals Livid Over Scary “Bearcat” Armored Vehicle
The Keene police’s acquisition of a “Bearcat” armored vehicle speaks volumes about how the police have gone from being thoughtful peace officers dedicated to protecting and serving the people to a band of robotic militarized marauders called “law enforcers” dedicated to caging peaceful people and protecting and serving the system.
The Keene Sentinel has posted letters to the editor recently from locals who are very concerned over this monstrosity:

State vs. Garret Ean: Waiting on a Grade
Filed under: Court, Free Concord, Manchester, Response, Update
As of Monday, December 12, it was confirmed that the court had received homework assignments from both parties in the case of State v. Garret Ean. At the end of the trial, the judge had asked for legal memos to support arguments made by both sides. Though I would have much preferred a ruling on the spot, in retrospect I am glad that the judge gave me a chance to formulate written arguments to demonstrate the State’s lack of a case. Just through questioning John Patti, I was only able to reveal so much about the case. The memo assignment enabled relevant details to be organized into a single presentation.
The prosecutor’s memo struck me with its unnecessary thickness. The memo was organized to the extent that it begins with legal arguments, but more than half of the final documents in the 79 page submission are completely irrelevant details obtained from house and senate hearings on the disorderly conduct statute in 2005. Much like the discovery packet, and a great portion of the Chalking 8 case itself, the State is throwing papers at the problem until one of them addresses the issue. With more Chalking 8 trials on the horizon, the State’s evidence will grow flimsier as the first not-guilty findings begin being issued. Rulings are expected to roll in around the new year.
See my two page memo striking to the root of the matter, and Attorney Greg Muller’s legalese composition below.
Defendant’s Memo of Law 2 page .pdf
Prosecutor’s Memo of Law 79 page .pdf
Pete Eyre, arrested at the same time as myself and who also has already had his trial, has uploaded both his own memo as well as Greg Muller’s 44 page memo from that case, which addresses different issues than were raised in mine.
