Adam Kokesh’s “Final American Revolution” – Concord, NH

Adam Kokesh called for a “Final American Revolution” where people were to gather at each state capitol and demand secession. This is video from Concord, NH where a man strapped with an AK-47 gave a speech written by Kokesh into a megaphone:

The events nationwide suffered from poor planning, in that Kokesh basically announced the events, created them on Facebook, and then expected others to pick up the ball. They didn’t. One photo from Albany showed two people attending. Concord got 22 without any real organization whatsoever. The poor turnout at the event nationwide speaks to the small number of liberty-loving people willing to take action. It’s a perfect example of why liberty-oriented people need to converge in one place and get active TOGETHER. That place is New Hampshire – the choice of the Free State Project. Concentrating activism works – we already have over 1100 activists here statewide as part of the FSP and have won dozens of elections, repealed bad laws, done epic civil disobedience, and are creating loads of liberty media. Please join the thousands of liberty activists moving to New Hampshire and join the Free State Project!

Open Letter to Clerk Larry Kane

NH Secret Police vehicle,
captained by trooper Joseph DiRusso

One week after having my property stolen from me by a secretive enforcer for the New Hampshire state police, I have written a letter which I have submitted to Larry Kane, the clerk of court for the Keene district. I entertained the idea of writing to the judge in this case, but ultimately decided to address the clerk of court. Not being charged with a crime, I cannot file a motion relative to a charge, so I instead exercised my free speech and relayed my issues and requests to the court’s president of paper.

Dear Mr. Kane,

I, Garret Ean, am a member of the Keene, New Hampshire community. On the morning of June 26, I was bicycling in my neighborhood when I was approached by two men claiming to be acting under judge Edward Burke’s authority. One of them handed me paperwork before penetrating my pants pockets with his bare hands, looking for all sorts of items to deprive me of, ultimately settling on confiscating only my valuable videocamera.

When I was free of the undesired captivity of the two strangers, I searched to find out why it was that my property was taken, and why such a warrant exists. As I flipped through the documents, I discovered that at least one attachment cited in the partial search warrant was missing. Specifically missing was the explanation of what constituted probable cause to violate my state and federal constitutional, as well as human rights. (more…)

Renown Free Speech Attorney Jon Meyer Joins Robin Hood Case!

Attorney Jon MeyerJon Meyer is a Manchester-based attorney whose normal focus is on employment-related cases, however he is also renown as one of the best lawyers in America on the subject of free speech.

Formerly an attorney with the NH Civil Liberties Union, in recent years Meyerwon a major free speech case at the NH Supreme Court involving a man in a bigfoot costume on Mt. Monadnock. Additionally and more recently he trounced then-Cheshire-Sheriff Dick Foote in court and had Foote’s no trespass orders against local liberty activists (banning us from court property) overturned as unconstitutional.

Robin Hood of KeeneNow, Meyer has made the time in his busy schedule for the Robin Hood of Keene case where the people calling themselves “the city” are suing several Robin Hooders in hopes of creating a 50ft anti-freedom radius around the meter maids. Meyer filed his appearance today in Cheshire superior court on behalf of five of the six defendants, with Copblock.org‘s Pete Eyre deciding not to opt-in to having an attorney.

To be clear, Meyer is donating his valuable time to the cause, pro-bono, and is up against the city people’s hired gun (paid by your tax dollars) private attorneys, including renown civil rights attorney Charles P. Bauer. Bauer and his partner Eric Moskowitz have filed this “Memorandum of Law” on the constitutional issues in the case, as the judge requested. I’ll post Jon Meyer’s memorandum when it is ready, likely in a couple of weeks, as he just signed on to the case.

Support Activism by Supporting the Activist!

It’s no surprise to long-time followers of Free Keene that I participate in a lot of projects. At one point I ran the Free Keene Press, co-hosted Free Talk Live, and produced Free Keene TV. These days in Manchester are no different as I find myself starting my fourth active project. With each campaign or project I typically go about soliciting donations to help fund various aspects. Well today I am trying something different. I am offering those who want to support the projects I manage an opportunity to help all of them at once. I’ve created a gofundme campaign to raise money for me. Total transparency, the money will go to support me with typical life expenses while I continue to manage and create valuable liberty projects.

It is another experiment and I don’t know how well it will work but I felt it worth a shot! You can visit the page here: http://www.gofundme.com/SupportJJ

Rich’s Blog from Jail – 2013-07-02

2013_04_20_freerichDear Dean:

I am happy to bear witness to your pledge to “get involved” in the Liberty Movement.  I am even happier to inform you that you have already done so, in at least three ways:  your letter to Adam, your letter to me, and your donation to my defense fund!

Being a jailed civilly disobedient activist can be compared to being the star of a movie.  A movie should have a star, it would be boring without one, but no movie can be made with only one actor.  Not only must other actors be found to play supporting roles, but a director, cameraman, and a producer are also required to make almost any movie.  Voluntarists are frequently equipped with oversized egos, so it is often hard to find people to fill the vital supporting roles in our movement.

I was not trying to get put in jail this time, I was just doing my thing, which happened to be illegal.  My focus these days and going forward will be more on making things change through mass protest, agorism, and through playing important supporting roles in civil disobedience than on actively trying to get myself arrested.  I hope that you will continue to work for liberty in every way which makes sense to you…and that you will give yourself a break on the issue of civil dis.  Not all activism gets you arrested, and actively promoting causes on Facebook is activism, in a way that lackadaisically pressing “like” is not.

If you cannot think of any other activism to do, I would challenge you to spend four hours a week actively promoting my case, spreading word of it to new audiences, and hopefully getting word of it to spread virally.

Alternatively, you might want to work a few extra hours each week and donate the extra money to a deserving liberty organization, whether it is my defense fund, the Free State Project, the Civil Disobedience Evolution Fund, or some other organization.

In Liberty,
Rich Paul

Keene Property Owner Remains Undeterred Despite Ongoing Harassment from “Authorities”

Keene Cop Block invited Ian Freeman, a six -year inhabitant of Keene, NH, to share a bit about the ongoing harassment he’s faced from so-claimed “authorities” for his efforts to simply live free from their supposed “legitimate” coercion.

In this video Freeman, host of the nationally syndicated Free Talk Live and blogger at FreeKeene.com and ShireSociety.com, among much else, touches on the latest iteration of threat levied at him before speaking candidly about his motivations and the real impact had as the peaceful community emerges.

Instead of cowering, Freeman, knowing full-well that he’s not harmed anyone, has opted for transparency. His actions have undoubtedly embolden others – both in and outside of the ‘shire – to see the gun in the room, and speak out as well.
